It seems to me that everyone's problem with the conflict quests was the time involved, and the stress factor in how easily the Mag's side was destroyed.
I don't understand why it wouldn't be easy to incorporate some of Anarias's changes into the conflict system. Take option C as Ildaudid said.
I think the conflict quest system has a lot going for it if a few changes were to be put in if it is brought back.
No.
The fundamental premise of the conflict quests is flawed. That a single person can greif the entire community.
Could they be made to work. I'm sure they could.
But not without serious changes to both the mechanics and the place of the quests within the social balance of the game.
As Morgfyre said, that isn't likely to happen soon.

Really people, don't do what you don't want to do and do what you want to do, is that simple, no one can stop you.
It's not that simple.
Lusternia is a team game. There is a sense of comradeship among players in each organisation, and much as you might hate the Marilynth/Ladantine quest, you'd do it anyway because you don't want to let your friends down. You can play Lusternia without that aspect if you want, but personally, I wouldn't have anything like as much fun.
Never mind the IC implications of following your options, Lysandrus.. Particularly in Magnagora.
