I was wondering how the Party System works here and how experience is shared?

Question 1:
How do you form a party?

Question 2:
Do you need to hit a denizen in order to get that share of experience?

Question 3:
Being supportive (reflecting, chanting, buffing or etc) also gains you experience?

Question 4:
Can you leech? (Just follow someone, let them do the killing and you'll gain experience without a sweat).

Question 5:
If experience do get shared, does it depend to the number of hits or doing the last kill? Plus is this any different between Player Killing and Denizen Killing?
Aiakon2006-12-07 17:03:35
You follow someone. As in FOLLOW. You mutually ally one another. And EXP is, I think, divided with a weighting for level and who takes the kill.
Diamondais2006-12-07 17:07:58
You can be a leech, but I dont know about others but I personally hate people who leech off me. dry.gif Pull your own weight slackers..

*cough* Moving on..

As Aiakon mentioned, just follow. Weighted for whomever is leading and makes the kill I believe (Aiakon may have it correct, but I remember hearing something like what I said before). And its split at roughly about half and whatever bonuses you have. (Harmony, Human, Harvest, etc.) Must all ally each other.
Noola2006-12-07 17:16:28
Do you have to ally each other? Cause I'm pretty sure I've followed folks, acting in a supportive capacity (Just standing there is too boring! Gotta reflect or SOMETHING while I'm there if only to keep my interest while the scroll's scrolling along), while they hunted beasties and gained experience and I hadn't allied them but I know I gained experience too.

Or is that a bug? unsure.gif If it is, I didn't know! Promise! hide.gif
Diamondais2006-12-07 17:18:15
I think you can get stuff if they ally you, but if you dont ally them and make a kill they wont get anything.

Poor Noola, you won't get shrubbed for that smile.gif

But if you get shrubbed for it even though you know nothing about it...

Don't be a reflector for someone. It is a one way street for most people.... I know a certain reflector who reflected someone for a long time while in a city. No getting any thanks, and he went straight up up up in level and never once reflected for her. So, basically.... being a reflector for someone will get you used, and abused... so if you decide to do this... make sure you charge them, just as a guide would... They want reflections to bash... they can pay 10k per day 15k per day on Astral smile.gif... Enterprise young lass... Or if they are a mage too... (like this one was) make them reflect back for you so you can get some circles... If they are unwilling to do that, well then.... they are just using you... and no one uses my lil girl like that!!! (By the way remember you our Reiha and I's daughter tongue.gif)

Noola's already got a family!!! laugh.gif And Raikogen actually is coming back!! Now if Aranielle will too everything will be spiffy!

But yeah, I can't charge 10-15 thousand to just stand there and reflect for someone! No one would pay that, first off, and secondly it's not like I'm not getting any experience when I do it, so I'm not getting nothing out of the deal.
Tzekelkan2006-12-07 17:39:43
Do you also leech experience off people influencing? biggrin.gif
Shayle2006-12-07 18:40:19
I know the answers to these!

No, you do not have to ally to gain experience from following, just have to be following.

No, you do not gain experience from following someone who is influencing.

HOWEVER

If you have the grace of innocence, you will gain no experience from following.

Then don't reflect for people so that they can bash their way to Titan, people will use you like that here... and I don't want to see you getting used. So if they can't pay, then they should be able to bash on their own and say if they were doing a catacombs run, they can make like 15k in that run... so they could give you all the gold while they got all the exp. So like I said.... if they can't afford your services, don't do it for free... They will use you up and forget about you when they get to the rank they don't think they need a reflector anymore.

Just a fair warning dear wub.gif

I'll keep it in mind! I might ask for 15k next time I reflect.... If only for the reaction! laugh.gif

15k is steep, But I imagine people should be willing to pay 5-10, or at least trade off with you who is reflecting whom.

QFT. At least in my experience tongue.gif
Shorlen2006-12-07 20:29:30
I'm rather sure that everyone allying everyone in the gorup gives everyone more experience than they'd get otherwise. Someone test this? dry.gif
Daganev2006-12-07 20:30:49
Where did this ally rumour come from, I never heard of it.
Noola2006-12-07 21:28:03
Sounds like a job for the Mythbusters forum! laugh.gif
Acrune2006-12-07 23:45:53
I gave reflectors half the gold I earned. Being a reflector is a good deal, safe( r), easy experience and sometimes gold.

Dammit Noola, go back to your old avatar. My god, that's creepier than Murphy's clown
