Whether you think so or not, your accent is 100% Boston. <--not a direct quote, but very close.
*cough*
Yes, yes it is. Spot on.
Me too, but now I'm wondering what's different
Vix2006-12-08 05:39:29
What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Midland
Now that's weird. South scored the lowest for me.

The Northeast.
Judging by how you talk you are probably from north Jersey, New York City, Connecticut or Rhode Island. Chances are, if youare from New York City (and not those other places) people would probably be able to tell if they actually heard you speak.
Gosh.

I'm not american, but I tried it anyway.
I have a "Standard British English" accent, and it said I was Northeastern too. Philadelphia and the like.
That sort of makes sense... That one of the earlier modern cites in North America has an accent similar to that of it's settlers... Then again, the British accent was probably very different in those days from how it is now... Meh, I suck at lingustics. Wait, does this even come under linguistics' banner?

I'm from Missouri, and got a midland accent (i.e. no accent). That's accurate enough. South scored a little high too; that's what I get for moving to Texas

I grew up in the suburbs, but I have a lot of friends with philadelphia accents (which sound retarded, I hate them).

North Central
"North Central" is what professional linguists call the Minnesota accent. If you saw "Fargo" you probably didn't think the characters sounded very out of the ordinary. Outsiders probably mistake you for a Canadian a lot.
Eh?

I got midland, but I -know- I have some strong ‘Pennsylvania dutch’ (early German immigrants) influences, I'm almost insulted they didn't include that, especially something so limited in scope. (only usa included)

I got The West. Very accurate, since I've lived in Washington state my whole life.

Vix made me do the quiz to see if I'd end up with the part that said "no accent". This was my answer.
ing online quizzes.
EDIT: Yukari got the same result, must be a scrambled database link or something.
