I'm not sure if this is what Tonbee meant, but it kinda defeats the purpose of having them as backups if they have abilities from the beginning. You could just let them pretend to be normal citizens, including counting them in votecounts*, and then just not tally them up. If someone quits (not necessarily dies, unless you want to do it that way) then give them citizenship and allow them to vote. Then draft the suckers into the army. Or not. Whatever.




*I'm generally against the idea of the GM providing votecounts, just on principle. I think if the players feel they need the information, then they should collect it themselves, but that's another matter.

Here is what I was thinking to be more explicit... didn't want to give any ideas that might be used.

Option 1: People are backups as normal... Don't tell us if you choose this option.

Option 2: People who would be backups, have no abilities (not even townie abilities) However, if say, The leader of the Mafia goes inactive AND some other mafia member gets killed, the same day, then that backup takes on the roll of Mafia lawyer, and gets some ability. etc.

I'm going to have to have a good hard think about what I want to do, so give me a day or two and we should have a game thread up.

Feel free to post any more ideas, but no promises that I'll use them.

Sorry, it goes to the first person who requested a spot after all the spots were filled. Gotta keep it fair.

I've decided not to use the extra people who signed up. We've had many people pull out in the past so I'm not going to risk making more places for people to fill.

After I do one more proofread, the roles are ready to be sent. Once I get all the confirmations back, I will start the game thread.

Unfortunately, It's edging towards 1 am and I need to sleep now.

Pay attention to the PMs and follow the instructions. Unless your role allows you to communicate at night, don't, or I will replace you with someone who can play by the rules (a comprehensive list of rules will be posted, but that is the most important).
