So, with my wonderful new laptop I'm looking forward to many glorious future days on Lusternia. However, my combat aspirations have run into one small problem: I need to find a way to have all my strikes and swing locations available without the old numpad arrangement I used - new computer doesn't have one.

Ideas? Suggestions? Jokes?

I personally use a set of aliases instead of keys-- it's slightly less efficient, but if you're off-balance anyways while typing, you don't really lose anything. (Especially if they're short aliases)

Buy a USB numpad.

Seriously, numpads are the best way to intuitively do warrior attacks, fly aetherships, and run/sprint really fast.

Or, you could use insert/home/pageup/delete/end/pagedown. Or, if your client supports it, have a button that toggles q/w/e/a/s/d/z/x/c into attack macros and back to normal letters.

There's USB numpads for $8 at the Big Lots near me. Even at Staples they are barely more than $15. I have a Compaq CPQ19NKP, nice and slim so very easy to take with me.

Laptops do have a numpad, but its integraded with the keyboard. Using the fn (function) key you can access it. Your keyboard should have a num pad that takes up the 7/8/9/U/I/O/J/K/L & M keys. May take a little getting used to, but once you do, its really not much different than having a seperate numpad.
