No can do my friend, what's written in the prophecy cannot be change...

The wyrd: the only brand of taint with an official seal of approval.

It's Selthar who decided to take it ingame. Blame him, he posted a huge news post about it, so we assumed it was something ingame.

Lies, I haven't posted any news posts in the last... fifty in-game years! I've just loudly complained about everything! You're looking for Caffrey.
Oops, yeah, it was Caffery who took the OOC info IC, and made us all think it was IC info

True, it does seem that they got the short end of the stick, here. I'm not sure what's occurred during the past 12 hours or so, but, I hope that some respite has been offered; dying too frequently is never fun.

At least one group, Celest, were strenuously opposed to the action. Glomdoring didn't actually agree with it either. Shayle wanted to talk with the rest of her council. Narsrim even came up with another plausible solution.
I didn't feel like we were remotely railroaded in our response to the "proposed" solution, i.e. we do not HAVE to participate. But I do feel like the solution itself was pretty much forced on us. But then again the players LET it be forced on us. If all the players had been like "Umm, yeah, I don't like this idea, lets go with plan B" or whatever, I think the admin might have been a little more flexible. But when both Mag and Seren were like "Yep! Let's let him out! We don't need to think about it!". Why go for Plan B when the players are perfectly willing to take Plan A that you've already laid out for them?
It WOULD be nice if there were a chance that this won't work out all that well. Even the possibility that someone could screw something up and let too much of him out or the longer it takes to put him back in, the more destruction happens. Not just like minor destruction, serious wreckage that changes the gameworld forever.
Choices should have consequences. My fear is that Celest, in choosing to actually go a different route and stick with their roleplay, is only going to get the consequence of being lambasted in the event posting

I notice something, with the seals gone, what will happen to Avechna, and without Avechna, no avenger, no avenger means PKers are free to kill everyone without fear of it and after that well, good bye Lusternia for me if that ever happens...
On the side note, any progress with the event?

Okay, people may not like the way Lusternian events are held, but the people complaining seem to have never been a part of a game which was that free. Basically, if the Divine don't lead us with a direction, then we will either not move at all, or we will move in a direction contrary to their intentions for the event.
Events do (and should) follow a set line leading to an intended conclusion. You can respond and RP to it in all different ways (see Celest), but don't expect that you should be able to reshape the face of Lusternia by changing all of the events that the Divine have put in place. Lusternia would not be nearly as good of a place if players were allowed to change things too much.

You can debate it, but I imagine the people with experience (including, of course, the Divine) would support it.
Ildaudid2006-12-24 16:14:56
Yeah we got what we think to be the "short end of the stick". But watch, I am sure the divine didn't decide, hey lets beat down Magnagora and all their players morale, etc. So I am hoping that because we got the crappy part, that we will get something good in return.

As did I. No that it's a bad thing though, and I'd been getting an inkling from Ly's posts.

It's not a BAD thing, but if he edited one post due to being Christmas Eve, he should do the other as well.
