This sounds as if it may be an exciting event. Good luck!

Well I took on 10 alone without armour on, but 30 can demolish medium sized groups and anyone alone.

You don't count, Ixi. I remember diagnosing your wounds from afar and always finding some bad wound on your body. And you still beat up half of the basin without breaking a sweat. A la demi-god

Insofar as complaining about the timing of events, I've actually been impressed with how well Lusty keeps these events going long enough for everyone to at least be able to participate actively for SOME of it.
I mean, come on, the Admins need sleep too.
Oh I love the events (No sarcasm), no doubt about it and that they require alot of stamina on the Admin's side. However, people like me who are in England and like 5 hours behind America pretty much miss out the big stuff. Come on, cant they just have an event in GNT time (even a small one) while its still 3 or 4 PM here in merry old england? It's hard to keep track at 5 AM in the morning.

To be fair, this is the reality for about everyone. I have not seen a village influence in a long time, and I miss out on alot of the big events because I'm either asleep or at work. While I appreciate that people in Europe get left out, I wouldn't expect anything to actually happen at the ideal time for you - it rarely happens for any of us. It's why the events are so long, so we can all see a part of them.

New news: Lady Terentia appeared and confirmed that the creatures are more than likely cosmic in nature. So the question everyone should be asking themselves right now is: Which cosmic plane do they come from? Not any cosmic plane I've been to. That leaves two others I can think of...

CELEST NEWS #1903
Date: 12/18/2006 at 21:41
From: Saryn, Purveyor of the Hymn
To : Everyone
Subj: New information
This month, the Voice spoke over the Cantor guild aether. I immediately
went to Her, to see what she had to say. I asked her if she knew of
recent events, and she asked for silence. She apparently heard a song.
Neither I, nor the other Cantors in the room heard anything. When asked,
she said that the song sounded "bittersweet". Faethyr announced that one
of the Voices from the other bardic guilds heard an angry song. The
Voice of Rhapsody said that song She heard might be considered angry,
but that bittersweet was a better description. She said that the song
may have had lyrics, but that even She could not understand them. She
knows nothing about the origins of the song, or what it might mean. She
said that She began hearing the song several months ago, and that it
seems to play every few days.
Aeralin decided to take this information about the song to Lord Japhiel.
He had a hypothesis that the song may be created by the Nexus Worlds
themselves, and that the creatures may be attracted to it.
If you have any questions about these new developments, please contact
me, or Aeralin if regarding Lord Japhiel's insight. I do have a
transcript of the Conversation with the Voice, but it doesn't go into
much more detail that what I've described.

Keep this off the forums.

Thanks.

Don't worry, I'm sure we can trust that everyone can keep IC and OOC separate.
...right?

I believe ALL the bard guilds had conversations with their guild tutors, did they not? Just because someone stuck it in the Celest posting doesn't mean it isn't information that would be readily available to people that were logged on.

Considering I ordered a few of them to keep it quiet..
I don't mind some public information. However, I get pissed when it gets into the public when people should know better than to share certain strategies.

I don't see why there have to be "certain strategies" involved. This is an event that everyone in Lusternia is supposed to be able to share in, and keeping information from people is a great way to make sure that everyone DOESN'T get to share in it.

Considering Ixion, Daevos, and a horde of other Magnagorans were dying before eradicating the creatures, it's in Celest's best interest to withhold information on how to most effectively (without dying) kill them.

With all the complaints recently, I thought it would be nice if someone registered some approval.
So, thank you Genevieve. You're being very helpful to people who can't log in all the time.

I didn't teach any way to eradicate the creatures, Forren.
