So... is there a way to destroy constructs yet?

Looking to destroy your own?

2500 a month? WTF?

Given that villages net about 300 a month, yeah, that's absurd, especially if we are going to have several such constructs.
------------------------------------------------
There should be no upkeep cost at all, there should instead be a fee to repair damaged constructs.
Constructs should only be able to suffer so much damage per month (perhaps 10% structure).
Damaged constructs should reduce their benefit at 75% structure, 50% structure, and 25% structure, and be destroyed at 0% structure.
Repairing 1% of the construct should cost 0.5% of the build cost.
Constructs should be slow to damage, and when an attack starts, alert the commune/city that it was damaged.

I don't think its absurd.
25% bonus is pretty damn nice.
It just means we have to work for it.
I don't think the particular reasons that glom wants it destroyed is reason enough to change the costs.
Anarias2006-12-22 23:15:18
This kind of incentive/conflict set up is dumb in Achaea and it'll likely be dumb here. 2500 power per month is a great first step in that direction.

There are.. two aetherbubbles worth hunting at the moment.

Well, we've been through other kinds of conflict, and people complained about all of them either.
What kind of incentive/conflict setup should we have?
Daganev2006-12-22 23:20:50
I think people are overreacting.
Clise2006-12-22 23:21:38
Perhaps if certain bonuses apply to more areas that are not aetherbubbles? The way I see it now is that if the constructs are destroyed, most likely they won't be replaced.

If they're destroyed, then no, they won't be replaced. Too expensive for that.
Daganev2006-12-22 23:24:53
Don't forget the 25% bonus applies to the nexus creatures as well... thats a godsend to anybody who isn't level 80... I'm sure that would help lots of people level up. Gives everyone a home town bashing ground if they need.
Unknown2006-12-22 23:26:20
Maybe extend the XP bonus to Aetherspace in general?

They've been increased in xp previously, and its been said that they're almost worth it now with the aethertrade. An extra 25% experience might push it over the top.
Kaervas2006-12-22 23:56:36
Killing aethercreatures is about as useful as killing rats.
Unknown2006-12-23 00:14:06
Extend it to prime too, then it'll be worth it.

We'll look at adjusting costs later....
Right now there are more important things to worry about...
I just woke up and all the Elder Gods have left me and I'm sitting alone in the havens while strange visions are running across my mind's eye....
Meh, probably was a bad taco, I ate.
Time to go back to bed.......
