I actually hope that Richter wins. And, given that he'd be a completely neutral god pretty much, of trade and business and mooney, he'd be someone eeeveryone could support!

The final challenge will just be "sit indoors in demesne behind greatpent shielded, lol gg non-serenwilde".

Thanks to the admins for playing with this experiment, however it turns out. I won't be trying for it myself, I don't have the time to commit, but I hope we see someone deserving get the ascension! I have a few people in mind but we'll see what happens!

I'm curious to see what the seal of life event involves "Event: Who can save the most denizens? The winner receives the Seal of Life. "

Run it parallel to the Seal of Death competition. You get a point for every denizen in the room when you kill a basher.

I really liked Daganev's idea of being able to 'champion' someone in an event.

Selling my support for the final challenge to whoever bribes me (hint: I want a cameo ).

I'd guess that they will disallow certain things, like you have to stay outdoors and above ground or some such.

I'll be in it for the seals >.>
Elysiana2006-12-25 17:03:58
I figure I'll at least enter the events. I probably could do a good job, I think, I'm just undecided as to whether it'd be worth it. Cutting off all family ties would be difficult for me. So I think I'll let luck/event stuffs sort out whether there's even a chance I could get it. (I should note that I don't think I have any significant chance of actually winning a Seal.)
Oddly enough, I think the thing I'd miss most is working on Roseflame. So would there be a chance of the Ascended God taking on more adminy type responsibilities later, like building?

Who's actually planning to go for the ascension at the end? It seems most people are trying for the Seals but not going any further.
Gaetele2006-12-25 17:32:01
I know Gaetele would personally love going for Ascension herself (she had a monologue with Avechna yesterday about the prospect herself ), but I don't know whether or not I really want her to do so. Half of the fun I get from playing Lusternia is... being in #Lusternia.
I'm going to end up trying anyway, because if I didn't I'd be abandoning Gaetele's RP.

I do believe this is what we've been saying.

Well, Gaetele's probably the exact opposite of everyone else who's trying for this contest. She just wants to Ascend to finally prove her worth to the Basin. She could care less about the Seals (being a noncombatant herself, she really has no use for any of them). She just wants to be a nonpartial, neutral God in the scheme of things.
However, Lusternia's game mechanics itself frowns upon neutrality, so whether or not that would be allowed is in question.

I'm just in it for the seals, a couple of which are semi-interesting, if non-sequitor, contests. If I win one though, I might as well go for godhood, since I have several events that I would run that I was going to run as 100% player created and handled events, but I could do much easier and more plausibly as an RP god.
On another note, regarding the severing of OOC ties, I'm going to have to call BS on that one, as I know quite certainly that two Divine have had their OOC significant others have characters in the game, and the Divine showed these people's characters quite a lot of favouritism. Of course, technically, it's all heresay, and I don't actually have a problem with it at all, but I felt it prudent to point that out. But that is neither here nor there.

Some of that's based on truth, heh.
Sadly, I cannot get my girlfriend to play lusternia. She thinks it's a waste of time, I think.
