You can put in some of those little pudgy catballs and pigeonstuffings and dustsparrows and all the rest of it with little flags celebrating cheerfully.

If I win, my godly pet is going to be a mutant duck ball with a shark's mouth and eyes and puppy ears.

I change my vote from Tupac's middle name guy to Noola. You could manipulate her Goddess by thrusting cute things at her, which would make her stop to awww over it for a bit, then run amok without her knowing.
Noola2006-12-29 18:58:55
Would not!
But that baby hamster is SO CUTE!!!!

I would like to try. I think I am a fairly good roleplayer, myself.

I've decided Kia might go for it if I manage to win the Seal of Beauty. We'll see. I might post more about it later.

Forget what I said before. If I was an ascended God, I'd be a firey god, one of change, ambition, courage, vengeance, and action, but not randomness or chaos. I would switch moods suddenly and without warning, even more so than Shorlen already does.
My tenants would be:
- If you do anything, know why. Actions without reasons behind them are as meaningless and worthless as inaction. For any important change or decision you make, you should have at least two good reasons, and know them intimitely.
- Forgiveness is not to given lightly. If you had good enough reasons to start a grudge against another, you had better have an equally good reason to end it. Money, favours, and other bribes should never be accepted for ending a grudge.
- If you start a fight, follow it through to the end, or until you achieve what you sought to achieve. Do not back down or run away. Taking a short break to recover in the middle of the fight is one thing, as is leaving to attend to something urgent and far more important, but running away is something else entirely.
- Speak your mind no matter how blunt you must be, and to whom you must speak it. Simple honesty, though often dangerous, cuts through layers of worthless half-truths.
- Stasis will keep the world forever locked in desolation. Acts that perpetrate this stasis are meaningless, and true value is only found in that which brings about change to the world, echoes reprecussions that are not easily reconciled, for good or for ill. The perpetual war between Celest and Magnagora is an example of this stasis - nothing will ever come of the constant raids, and so they are meaningless. Perpetrating them is as wasteful as sitting around a Nexus. The same is true with the frightened inaction of the Communes, taking all the steps and excuses they can to avoid conflict and war and actually doing anything.
Shoralien's virtues would be self-awareness, courage, self-certainty (stubbornness), ambition, and decisiveness.
His title would be something like, Shoralien, Eye of the Storm, or something similar. His symbol would be a crystal firedrop, for crystal has been forged in the heat and pressure deep beneath the earth and tempered until it has become unbreakable.

Shamarah2007-01-01 19:31:43
If I manage to get a seal and decide to go for god (which I may or may not actually do, this is mostly just idle speculation) I'd be a wrathful, vengeful, crusading god. Terentia's pretty warlike, but she's always talking about, like, "justice" and "kindness" and "other peoples' feelings". Bah! Who needs those?
Shamarah's tenets would go something like:
- The Light is the source of absolute good and truth in the world, and can never be denied or even questioned. All actions should be done in its name. The Taint must be purged from the face of the world at all costs and by any means necessary. The lives of others are of no concern as long as the crusade against the taint is furthered.
- Combat is the penultimate solution to any problem. While it is recognized that politics, influence, etc can be solutions, they are inferior and less worthwhile to pursue than combat. It is not necessary that one be a master combatant to follow Shamarah, but a dedication to the art of fighting and a willingness to use it are necessities.
- Honor is for the weak. There is no use for honor in the world when fighting an enemy as ruthless as the taint. Honor is only a delusion and there is no real reason to follow any kind of code, so long as your goals are accomplished.
- There is no such thing as innocence. A being of true innocence would be unable to defend itself, do anything, or interact with the world in any manner. Since no such thing exists, there is no such thing as innocence and it can be disregarded in any conflict.
- The ends justify the means. Any action is automatically justified if its result furthers the cause of the Light or hurts the cause of the Taint.
His title would be something like "Shamarah, the Wrathful Lord".

Ironic!!!
Chaos for a purpose is the sort of Chaos I'll be fostering, not truly random Chaos Chaos is ordered you know - it's just far more intricate and subtle, hiding behind layers of mystery and false truth.
After all, Tzaraziko used chaotic tactics with the purpose of confounding the Soulless Gods to defeat them. If She was truly chaotic in the sense of acting completely randomly, She would have hindered Her cause as well as fostering it.
