Hey, I just know how whimsical this milieu can be. We already have a "Squibbles", and hamsters in general, y'know...
I actually think that these challenges might be more difficult that they look. "Hamster of Chaos"...hmm...what effects will the hamster have on people.
I also think the "final battle" might be more than just a free-for-all, since in-game Kethuru needs to be stopped.

I voted for Richter.
Flattering as it is for my name to even come up, I have a hard time seeing myself as a good choice, especially without knowing more about what they'd expect from the ascended.
(Which isn't to say I'm not entering the contests. If I happen to win anything, I can always pester to get a better idea of what's to be expected.)

Every competition is going to be "rigged" toward some people and away from others. That's what makes it a competition and not a lottery.
And what insults would you hurl if Estarra just hand-picked someone? I'm sure there would be plenty of accusations about admins pets flying around.

I have absolutely no good RP reason to support Richter for Ascended God, and so I wouldn't be fighting for him. I like the chap OOCly of course.. but that's got absolutely nothing to do with it. I think you're all making a grave error if you think that the results of this poll are in any way representative of the player community at large.

I have no RP reason to support Richter, but in choices like this RP has to take a back seat temporarily to what will really make the game better.
I have every intention of supporting whoever I believe will make a good ascended god, regardless of their affiliation or status. Might put me at odds with my citymates, but it will make Lusternia better overall.

I find it slightly uncomfortable that there are a few people who seem -very- against me. I don't find myself or my character to be completely disagreeable in any way, and even in my confrontations, people seem to not be entirely put off.
