So after Christmas I ended up with about 500 credits. I don't really want an artifact, so what should I do? This is my current skill list:
This gets me everything "needed" to fight, per se. Any suggestions?
The other thing I was wondering about was a change of locale. Lusternian knight combat is great, and I'm really loving Axelord with Night spec. That said, I'm getting kind of bored. I love to fight. Glomdoring is a great place to be, it just seems like the get a lot less action than Magnagora or Celest. Is this true or just me being crazy? Lately I've just been living for FFAs, Wargames, and those towne revolts.
On that subject, is there a class that is more "exciting" or "fun" than knights in one of the main cities? I'd prefer it not to be Celest, because their hunting rules are too limiting. Assuming I changed classes, I would be forgetting my three main pools (probably) and spending the 500 credits on skills plus a dagger (currently Taurian).
I'm completely indecisive on the matter at the moment as I've hit a bit of a rut. I may be able to win some fights here and there but I am still a 3 week newb to the mud, so take it easy on me.

Join Celest!
As for credits, trans planar first. After that, trans discipline and trans resilience are extremely helpful.

Maybe also consider about Master Dramatics to get attidutes (which are needed to cure dramatics afflictions). Extremely useful in village influences.. but outside, only if you like debating.
EDIT: And even if you don't like artifacts.. artie pipes can be very useful. Otherwise, what Forren said
EDIT2: Except that I'm not sure about focus spirit.. it's so easy to pooka force it

Aha, everyone should join Celest!

Oh yes, ignore that bit about joining Celest and join Seren! Forren wants to too!

How's the fighting? Really, that's what I'd be after in a locale change.

Planar --> Discipline --> Resilience is definitely the way to go.
Celest fights a lot. We're the dominant military force in the game right now.

What exactly does magic do? According to the help file, it deals away damage caused by magic. However, what's the actual percentage that it deals away?

Serenwilde-Glomdoring fighting is nothing compared to the level at which Magnagora and Celest raid. There are daily raids on Nil, Celestia, Earth, and Water. A few of us even raided inside Magnagora itself today to kill guards.

Between Celest and Magnagora, who is the underdog?

Honestly, it depends on the time of day.

Spanning late afternoon, through primetime, into wee hours. I work a lot but play at the end of the day a lot. Joining a new city I wouldn't want to join the big guy and just be another foot kicking the one on the ground.

Don't forget to include your time zone now.

Glomdoring.
Changing your skills and switching cities based on who is fighting more this weak is going to have you switching cities every other month.
Trans planar so you can fight more off plane, get resilience to shrug poisons and take less damage.

Stop stealing away our fighters.
Clise2006-12-27 23:49:47
Hmm? I could sworn there are occasional raids between Glomdoring and Serenwilde.

Occasional would be the key word. Which would mean, very little in comparison to Magnagora and Celest.

Couldn't have said it better myself.
