I guess I should probably offer a reason for my vote, because while Verithrax's last sentence could possibly be 'scummy', I find Daganev's reason for voting for Verithrax even moreso. Why would you vote for someone because they decided to unvote you and call that persons actions scummy?
You should read the entire thread. I first voted for verithrax because he said on the board that he doesn't know what his role is. Then he suggested a No Lynch, which most people know, is a vote that highly favours scum.
I might add that you are acting pretty scummy yourself with that no lynch vote earlier.
Okin2007-01-08 07:04:01
Well, what with requiem's very good justification of his actions and Verithrax's incredibly scummy "don't lynch me, that'd be bad for the town", I don't know what's what. Unvote.

I'm scummy because I wanted to make sure I read what exactly was going on first before voting to lynch someone?
Verithrax2007-01-08 10:38:37
What's scummy about saying that, if I'm pushed against the wall and have to say why I do things, this is bad for the town? It's true; if I were to say exactly why I'm doing things, I might not be lynched, but the mafia would take me down before you can say 'diagnosis'.

Go to the Mafia wiki and read up about No Lynch Votes.
If you don't know who to vote for just don't vote, but voting for No Lynch just gives power to the scum.
If you don't have any ideas on what you should do, just don't vote...

Sounds like they will do that anyways. However, normaly there is a person who can prevent death by mafia. Saying "I'm too important" draws the eye of the mafia just as much as saying your exact role, without giving us townies any good information to find the scum with. Thats why the action is very scummy.

You're being really obvious with all these hints that you're the shrink... I mean if you're so worried about the mafia killing you cause you're the shrink, why're you basicly saying "Look at me! I'm the shrink!" If you're not the shink, you must want people to think you're the shrink, but at the same time you keep going on about how the shrink'll get killed quickly.

Shhh, you're giving them ideas. But the thing is, with everyone thinking I'1m scum, the mafia could take me out and make it look like it was a vigilante kill, for example. Besides, it was someone else who speculated that I'm the shrink. Maybe I realised I'm going to die and am trying to be the fall guy for the shrink. Maybe I can't be killed in the first night due to my role. Maybe I'm just messing with your heads. Maybe I'm really the psycho killer. Maybe I'm scum, and I just suck at it. Who knows?

This is not helpful. If you want to avoid being lynched, I suggest you shape up and contribute something, and fast. By being esoteric and intentionally confusing you're just making yourself look worse.
tsaephai2007-01-08 20:33:32
Hasn't this happened several games, with Daganev and Verithrax being right at eachother's necks?
I'll stick for my vote, being that I think there is the possibility Verithrax could be a vigilante, if there are any in this game, due to his no lynch, which I'm pretty shure he's an experienced enough player to know why to avoid on the first day be he scum, and Daganev because that behaviour isn't unussual from him.
I think there's probably several cops in this game, or else why would there even be psychologist(s?) at all? Therefore I expect everyone will be very confused tomarow with too much conflicting information.

Pretty much. For reasons I'd rather not divulge, I expect that there is an assassin; don't know about a vigilante.

I can't think of a single mafia game where I have played with Verithrax... why do people keep making stuff up?

It just occurred to me: are you under a post restriction that prevents you from being helpful in some way?
If so, but you can't say it directly, make the second word of your next post "hello".

I want to encourage everyone to re-read their roles. Someone is still voting for an odd person. (Rather cryptically, I might add.) I have the problem sometimes (fairly often) where I forget what my particular role is, and act in ways contrary to logic. Just do me a favour and verify that you don't have the same problem.
On a slightly related note, if there is a role that actually cures insanity as I suspect, I might request some Freudian action tonight if I'm right about something.
Unofficial votecount:
(4) Verithrax – Daganev, Shamarah, Noola, Requiem
(3) Requiem dot exe – Yraeltrux, Tsaephai, Diamondais
(2) Daganev- Verithrax, Mirk
(2) Not voting - Lysandus, Okin
And I will promptly screw it up by Unvote: Verithrax ing. Primarily because he finally said something that makes him appear to have an IQ above 30, which is the justification I was looking for.
Daganev, I can only assume people are just picking up on the general enmity between you and Verithrax on the forum in general. Or maybe just the IP/theft thread. That's my theory.
I'm going to pick on Vote: Sarvasti because I want to see what he (she?) has to say and none of the other three bandwagons are current looking too appealing.
Oh, and to the new players. There's nothing inherently wrong with jumping on a bandwagon. At some point, it has to happen in order to get a lynch. Especially on the first day where you're mostly looking for a role-claim, or at least some information.
Personally though, if you're jumping on a bandwagon, just admit it. Don't come up with retarded excuses for it, because it makes me hate your insides and your little toe.

Hmmm, OK then. I don't know what you're on about, but you seem to know something I don't. I don't like that. It makes me want to vote for you, but that'd be a knee jerk reaction, so I'm not. Tell me what you're on about.

She, btw Requiem. Anyway, there's not much for me to say really. I'm just a person, that's about it.

@Okin, there's a certain person I know something about. I want that person to re-read his role, but I don't want to call him out directly. (Also note that I use the inept male forms as English's grammatically neutral pronoun.)
And on second thought, I'm actually going to Unvote: Sarvasti (although I'll probably come back to you later) and
Vote: Ytraelux.
My primary reason is that he's almost entirely lurking. I knows he's posted twice, so we'll say three or four times and give him the benefit of the doubt. Everyone is at least saying random inane things. Lurkers irkers me.
