This is something that I've thought about many-a-time, however I think it should be put to discussion because as it is now, I think village conglutination makes villages less exciting and killing (in violent revolts) almost pointless.
I really, really think that village conglutination should be made to take the same amount of time as praying, however it would still retain its current experience loss. This would make killing in villages actually make a difference, as people could be taken out for the minutes it takes to pray, rather than the seconds it takes to put up a few defences and jump right back into action.
That's really all I have to say on the matter, now discuss!

Several classes are already taken out of the action for quite a while since it takes a lot of time to def up.
EDIT: Also, making villages more exciting by making the non-influence parts prevent people from participating even more than they already do seems counterproductive.

We already have peaceful revolts for people to focus mainly on influencing and debating. What about the people who like combat.

But it's almost pointless to kill someone if they're going to pop back up in 30 seconds. It may take some classes longer than others to def, but it doesn't take nearly long enough to be useful.

If a wiccan or guardian comes back in 30 seconds they're dead again already.
And there's already things like wildnodes, the whole raiding dynamic, wargames and freeforalls for people who like combat. Influencing doesn't need to punish influencers even more than it already does when it isn't peaced.

Sanctuary, use sanctuary if you want to influence and not be involved with fighting. I don't like debating, I prefer the combat part of it, but when we fight the opposing side and kill them, or the other way around, they are back within 2 minutes, making it really hard to gain any ground. And we already have enough peaced villages that the ones that DO allow combat should at least be fun for those who do fight, ya think?

"just use sanctuary" isn't as easy as all that, especially when people actually prepare crusades beforehand, or afflict people passing by (or the demesnes own them with stun and whatnot). Not all villages are peaced, and the ones that aren't shouldn't just be "combatants only". That's not what they're for, so things don't need to drag them further in that direction.

What you should do is ask Yukari and Veonira to convey your points for you. You're actually crippling your own case here.

No, it shouldn't be about combatants only, but if it's going to include combat at all (which thank the Gods it does, because I hate influencing) it should be more fun for us. You have the option of using sanctuary, it doesn't always work, sure, I'll give you that. But if you have sanctuary up there is absolutely NOTHING we can do to take it down, nothing at all. I'm not asking for any changes other than making the conglutination time longer. It would make the combat side of this a bit more fun because the thing you just killed wouldn't pop back up nearly instantly.

I'm glad the administration listened to people's complaints about how they disliked violent influences, however what about those of us who dislike debating and peaceful influences, and who enjoy more interesting combat where killing off a group actually makes a difference.
