Umm... did anyone get golden soap from the gnomes? If so, did you send a message to Estarra about it? Did it already gain any of your marks? Cause mine hasn't yet...

Be patient, she probably has quite a few to go through. If it still doesn't have your mark on it in another few days I'd advise re-messaging her.

For some reason, artifacts this year HAVE been made to be yours, but HAVEN'T been given the marks. Vix told me a command to value your artifacts that didn't work the other day and tested it on mine (she couldn't see the value, but I could.) However it still doesn't bear my mark. Similarly a guildmate of mine got an artifact and was waiting for a message back but never got one...yet she could still trade the artifact in.

Glad that soap isn't as useful as it used to be, I would feel bad for the druids if it was still like it had been, since a few of people seemed to get soap, and that is something they only auction 1 of per auction right?

Two bars were auctioned. Tons of people got it from gnomes. Soap is thankfully not as OP as it used to be. I don't remember what restrictions on use differ from cleanse now.

Yea thats what I meant... 2 total in auctions, and alot of people getting them from gnomes, I am just glad the gnomes were not dropping illusion wands and amulets of resurrection like that

What does golden soap do? Is it on a rope? If you drop it in the shower does it protect you from bad things happening?

Nope. It does things like cleanse sap off you. Used to be that you could do it in almost any state, making it real hard for Druids to kill you (so much so that Xavius spent an inordinate amount of credits buying one from an auction at one point so no one else could get it and cause him fits during combat).

I just spent more on this bar of soap than anybody did in the previous auction (just FYI, there were 3 soaps in the first auction, 1 in the second), by a magnitude of around 5x. That's because, the first time, people didn't know how OP it was. I want soap nerfed to the point where people originally thought it would be when they paid the lower price. Actually yes and no. I've been able to trade two of my gnome artifacts in -without- them having the message. The one I kept however, the powerplex jewel, still doesn't have the mark and it doesn't work for me either. I assume that if an artifact belongs to no one you can still trade it in and get the credits.. but if it has a power that it would specifically -only- do for it's owner (like the jewel) it won't work.

So no, they have not been set to belong to you yet.. I don't think so.

Soap now has the exact same restrictions as RUB CLEANSE, but with a 1 sec eq instead of 4 sec.

And...yes, combine Shiri's and Xenthos' posts, and you get my exact reaction to the second soap auction. That was seven flavors of absurd, druid-breaking madness.

Yeah, if you do ARTIFACT SOAP VALUE and its value pops up, it "belongs" to you. Only the artifacts you buy at the artifact shop will bear your mark. I got a paintbrush during the first anniversary from a present Estarra herself gave me for winning a hamster hunt but even after she set it to me, it didn't bear my mark (or anyone's).

Er.. I got a paintbrush during the first gnome event, and I messaged Estarra like we were supposed to and it quickly had my mark on it.

Guess it's inconsistent then. Anyways, if ARTIFACT SOAP VALUE works, it's officially yours.
