Pyramid vs. Prism

I'm a Celestine Healer and am toying with the idea of purchasing an artifact. Particularly an artifact that lets me teleport places other than the nexus. I don't have Tarot, so hermit isn't an option for me.

What are the differences between the pyramid and the prism? Can a pyramid side be reset multiple times in one month, or are you stuck with what location you first set until the next month? Can you memorize places with Prism, or how does that work? I've read the descriptions of both artifacts, but I still don't have a clear sense as to how they practically operate.

Any input/advice is greatly appreciated!

Prism takes you to the Lower Planar Fulcrux, which has exits to various places on prime (8 exits), ethereal, earth, and water.

Pyramid lets you set your own locations (up to 4) but they unset every month, it has a delay, and you can only go to adjacent planes with it.

I'm not really sure why you're buying an artifact when you're not trans guild skills though...

Thanks, Shamarah. You recommend I trans guild skills first? Right now my only trans skill is planar. Two of my guild skills are at mythical and the other at fabled.

Definitely, skills are way more important than artifacts.

Yeah, for about 200 credits (with the lesson bonus) you can trans a guildskill which has multiple individual uses. Artifacts can be seen as a "single use" because they only do one thing but cost as much or more as a whole skill which has its multiple uses.

Did that make any sense?

Definitely Trans-Sacraments, and consider Transing Celestialism.

Thanks, everyone. That does make sense. I'll start working on my skills then!

Aha, I figured out how to say what I was trying to say before. Prisms cost 800 credits, no? So that's about 4 whole trans skills. The prism generally does not compare in worth to the entire skills of Celestialism, Tarot, Sacraments, and Planar. Absolve+Soulless+Trueheal+Conglutination+the rest of the skills in those sets >>>>>>>>>>>> Sorta easy escape with convenient exits.

Well, okay, Bedevil won't count there (not like they were all trans skills anyways), but the other cures like Muscles and its awesomeness for bashing is still good!
