Ha! Sounds like fun! biggrin.gif I remember when all of Hashan tried to do something similar, about 7 of them? (Hashan is small) I just remember all of them dying and me warping to safety biggrin.gif I made no gold but a lot of exp, 3 levels or something. Fun stuff!

Not entirely true. A rogue Moondancer moonbeamed to me in the stockroom of the Moonlace shop back before I even had echoes for moonbeam, much less an auto-leave-stockroom trigger. Got away with the Cartels funds which I had kept in the stockroom, reflexively bought credits with them making the money irrecoverable, and then proceeded to pick up all the items I had for sale there (and my "acquired" Crow Cloak which he let decay, ugh). After a few days, when he logged back on, we managed to kill him, resurgem his body in a manse behind a locked door, steal everything he took from me back (except the Cartel's savings), and then we left him completely locked down behind a locked door he couldn't open, with no way to even kill himself.

And.... that was the last we saw of him.

Y'know, some things are just going too far. That sounds mean. dry.gif But on the other hand, it also sounds perfectly reasonable. Not sure what I'd have done, but yeah, it might've been similar to that.

I'm.. Err.. not sure quite why I posted.

That was.... the most pointless post I've ever seen in my life.

Moral of the story = don't steal. That's horrible though. Did you lose some millions of gold? Hundreds of thousands? Terrible.

Pretty much anything that allows you to steal from shops is a bug. All incidences of shop theft in the past have been bugs where estarra herself has made sure that all involved parties recieved their due. Lusternia does not promote theft. Quite the opposite.

Yrael used to buy or steal keys off of disgruntled ex-owners of shops and test them to see if the new owner forgot to change the locks. He stole a lot of stuff that way, heh. But Yrael was also comic relief.. he'd teleport to you right in the middle of guards. Great fun dealing with him.

I want to see Lusternia grow into a game with many players. However, I am somewhat nervous at the thought of those who play Achaea coming here. Course, I'm sure they'll understand this one is in no way like Achaea and will act properly!

Most of us (I'd estimate at least 60%) are Achaean imports. It's really the environment that makes a person - and age I suppose. So ashamed of my behavior in Achaea. sad.gif

Is it possible to be a rogue in Lusternia? No guild or city but all the skills you'd have if you were actually in a guild?
Vix2006-12-31 22:18:38
Rogues, like thieves, are generally discouraged in Lusternia. We have something called Power here, and the closest I can compare it to would be like the devotion stuff for Priests. If you get excommunicated, you can't use your skills like if you leave your city you can't use some abilities that take power. Why would you want to go rogue anyways? Lots of friends in cities and stuff. smile.gif

The closest class that could feasibly go rogue would be a Tracker Warrior.
Unknown2006-12-31 22:20:39
Why go rogue? Less friends in cities and stuff = more people to grief and rob tongue.gif

Edit: I joke

Yes, but it's hard. If you really, really feel like being a rogue, join a guild, be a warrior, take hunting, specialize into tracking, quit the guild, buy a powerplex jewel, and then join Zorana or Deepnight.

Richter, do you want to be a god or something? Seems that way.

he's thinking of achieving Ascension via an event we will be having. The first God raised from Mortals in tha game and first one in hundreds of IG years. (Last one being the Princess Marilynth who died in the Taint wars, the whole deal is in the histories)

I'm going to support Richter in his ascension
Unknown2006-12-31 22:43:31
Richter for Godhood! I heard about the event in achaea, in OOC says acutally, stupid insane people.
Richter2006-12-31 22:48:16
Indeed, I'm going to try for it, I think I'd be fantastic at it! (and have won both of the unofficial polls on the forums, so other people must think so as well) biggrin.gif
Unknown2006-12-31 22:59:23
Awesome, I could never be a god, no griefing other players etc, no hunting, no PKing, no questing, no contact with your old friends, no playing the game the same ever again.
Richter2006-12-31 23:08:12
I suppose it does take a certain kind of person. I imagine it will dramatically change the game for that person.

And griefing other players really isn't fun anyway...
Unknown2006-12-31 23:09:04
Sure it is! It makes you well known and makes people hunt you more! That's fun!
