Cowboy bebpop is SOOOOO much better with subtitles than the dubbing.
The charachters have such different voices, I can't watch the Bepop on TV anymore.

don't be hatin? It takes some episodes to finally dig deep into your soul and vomit all over it filling it up with viscous love for the anime
And what can I say?
ROCK LEE ROXXORZ YOR BOXXORZ

I gave up on episode 100 when I realized just how much of a waste of time the series was The reason it pisses me off so much is that the plot isn't bad, and the characters aren't uninteresting, but the presentation is abyssmal. Five episodes for a fight. Forty episodes for a tournament. Flashbacks to last episode. Flashbacks to five minutes ago in THIS episode (and not momentary ones, five minute long ones). Over exposition. The complete inability to describe a character in a scene (even minor characters noone cares about get 1-2 entire episodes for their non-sequitor and irrelevent story). Eye-stabbingly bad filler. Simplistic yet over explained metaphysics.
The Haku arc (the intro plot) was awesome, and it saddens me that the rest of the series failed to follow through. Though, the end bits of Gaara's plot were worth watching. Those were the only two bits of the series (5-8 episodes out of 100) that I didn't feel like I had just wasted my time entirely by watching.

Remember that voice-acting is considered to be a respectable profession on Japan, and considered to be a joke in America.
That said, some series DO have really good dubbing - Hellsing, FLCL, Irresponsible Captain Tylor, Mononoke Hime, and El Hazard to name a few. El Hazard was a rather campy and mediocre series in japanese that the dubbers took GREAT liberties with the translation for and turned it into a hilarious comedy. "Don't you have balls sir?" "Like coconuts!" and "Oh, what you call a 'cat' we call 'body armor'" being two of the better lines.

Dude, you are not an anime person.. I would rather read the manga than watch the anime... Too many flashbacks and too much explanation... read the manga where you left off! It's worth it

Gah. By the time I got to watching cowboy bebop it was -only- dubbed. The file didn't even have the option to switch to subs.

eww, I accidentally saw part of one episode of the americanized versiononce , and I've got to say it was horrible. Dubbed is useally much worse then subbed in general anyway, unless they're very careful with it.
Watch like one of the first tenchi episodes in jap and eng sub and then in eng dub, notice the difference in the part where Ryoko has been captured by Ayeka. The difference is just kinda funny.
