(For the record, I'm not actually complaining about anything, just making fun of the people who are )

You shield, they flow, the zerg bounces off your shield. Then your group hailstorms them while they're off balance.
Seriously, stop bitching. I'm so glad I'm a bard now. Nature seriously blows, and I hate being stuck with useless skillsets.
have you ever fought before? From your post it doesn't seem like it
Hazar2007-01-10 06:07:35
Flow is hardly a game-stopper. Just learn to move quickly, set up demesne, etc.

Not recently, most of my fighting was pre-nerf flow. You're saying it's worse now?

Estarra said it herself. All damage types are equal.
I think you are missing Narsrim's point. The base damage of the attacks is equal when a person does not have any resistances. When you add in resistances, the one that has less resistances against it will end up being superior to the other.

I think Shorlen knows that and is expressing something along the lines of..."we all know this, but Estarra disagrees so it won't be equalised." (or similar)

But Aqua demesne >>> Geo demesne for healing. So, the geos need a good healing ability, right? Sorry, that's just faulty logic
oh and to me, I don't really see flow as that overpowered in terms of defense. In village revolts definitely but that's another story. Anyway so say you're raiding Faethorn and serens OMG FLOW TO YOU!! would it really have taken -that- much longer to just walk to your group? I'm pretty sure serens/gloms know every room name on Ethereal so its not like it would be hard just to get there by foot. Well I guess if you're raiding prime then flow with guards would be pretty sucky, but who really raids prime and if you did it'd be smart to bring a mage who could change terrain

..... seriously can we have eternal peace between the cities and commune? Everytime a fight starts up, complains about flow, moonbeam, empress, beckon, trueheal, totems all start coming out of the woodwork. It is getting tiring.

So because we have totems, we can have an entire crap skillset? I ABSOLUTELY LOATHE that kind of thinking, especially when it's from someone who has the damn skill. Please tell me you were being sarcastic.
Totems and rituals seem to be the counter parts, they seem pretty equal as well. Nature would be more comparable to elementalism or something like that.
QUOTE(Vix @ Jan 10 2007, 04:03 AM) 371317
Not to mention Seren/Ebonguard have both Totems and Knighthood which are not useless.
And just because I want to, I'm bringing it up: we need willowisp back please?
Willowisp dosn't need to come back but wiccans were promised another fae to replace it.

@topic: When raiding where you are expected to fight in your enemies' territories, always bring along someone who can change terrain, an icewall enchant, and mono. Someone who can cast illusionarry terrain is much better.
Flow is fine. Your overreacting.

That's a bit of the point here. I died twice and thought WWMD (What Would Maganagorans Do) and decided to post. I'm a bit, no no heavily, amused with the way this post has gone.
Oh well, nuclear war has been averted between orgs, since our Divines told us to knock it off. I'd call this post done, the fun's been had. Just, good Gods, is your plane hard to raid. I wonder how Celest used to do it. Eh, before my time.

The furthest distances between two places in Faethorn is about 13 rooms. Flow takes 4 seconds to recover from. With Stagform up, I can move 16 rooms in 4 seconds. Walking is better for me than flow.

I think flow is fine. In fact, I'd even be okay with something like wisp going back in. Still, I wish mages had a good way to change the terrain on earth/water/ethereal without actually being able to set up their own demesnes. I don't think mages should be able to meld all over ethereal, but it would be nice if they could still break the demesnes there and weaken forest-only abilities like flow, just because demesnes usually decide the outcome of a fight. If the offensive side has no hope of even breaking the enemy demesne (let alone setting up their own), raiding is a pain, which is why we usually end up with raids during off-peak times, when there aren't many around who can set up a competent defensive demesne.
