Weaking forest-only abilities would SUCK for druids, unless there was a dryad tree in every locations permanently.

Actually, dryad doesn't even do that much. It only counts as a tree for the purposes of climbing. Everything else is a nombo. Gah.

Mitbulls is kind of right give mages the ability to break demenses on faethorn just though, that seems fair, I don't mean remove the trees or anything just remove the druids demences.

Last we heard it helped the Druid abilities that needed forest to do. (Sap for example)

It counts as a tree, it dosn't help sap but it lets you do sap so to speak. Like sap can only be done in the trees, the dryad basically makes it a tree so you can climb up and sap. Other than that I don't think the dryad has any special abilities but the fact that you can make a tree and climb up in any location is pretty good anyway with lots of different tatics. But I don't think the dryad actually does anything more than that.

Thats what I meant, I've been dealing with very confusing conversations and am now mixing my words up. wacko.gif

Isn't it like that already, like on the Elemental planes?

Ah right, either way dryads are pointless on faethorn or ethereal anyway because you already have trees. And ash may be right
Shiri2007-01-10 15:10:52
That's what we tried to suggest for Etherwilde/Etherglom a while ago, but it didn't get through and something much worse (which I forget the details of) went in instead IIRC.
Diamondais2007-01-10 15:12:31
Oh, and they can break demesnes on Ethereal (I think). They just cant destroy environment (Unless they use the opposite Druid or I think Illusions work?).

Very untrue. I even posted about this to the Serenwilde news a while back tongue.gif Dryad allows thornlash and sap.

They can break melded terrain, they can trueground in faethorn, and they can make illusionary terrain that needs to be removed before it can be melded.

They can? Hmm...never realized that.

I haven't been a mage long enough to try to fight on Ethereal, don't listen to me. I always thought demesnes there were unreakable.

For awhile, I think they were in Glomdoring and Serenwilde Ethereal. Then they changed it so that force-whatever could break it.

experiment proved successful. Thank you all for participating, we got all the information we needed to draw our conclusion which proved our hypothesis

..... seriously can we have eternal peace between the cities and commune? Everytime a fight starts up, complains about flow, moonbeam, empress, beckon, trueheal, totems all start coming out of the woodwork. It is getting tiring.

Better yet, how about we make it a forum rule that you can't make any comments about skills on the forums during times of war. If a thread is made with such a topic the moderators can delete them! tongue.gif

Similarly, during times of peace, nobody may post threads about RP and Emotes!

Balance? Flow gets them in, but they'll never get out with Currents, Carcer, Barrier, etc. whistling.gif

At least protect will block currents now, that's a big step in the right direction.

Wrong. It counts as a tree for any attack that requires trees (sap, etc). It just doesn't count as a forest. Tree != Forest.

This definition is wonky, because dryad trees allow thornlash.
