Let's put it like this. Mag is on water, going to kill the Tide Lords. Instead of having to find the whirlpool on the lake, fine the isle in the sea and hopefully get to the right room with all the waves-we instead just INSTANTLY show up. Bang, your dead.
Of course, if this was the case all of lusternia would be up in arms and demolish it to hell. But, since flow isn't a celestian skill-it's ok! Oh, hell, it's underpowered!
It's pathetic

beckon empress hailstorm all have ways to be stopped. Shield! I know it's a really high skill and hard to master, but with a little practice I'm sure you can do it.
You know why people get up-in-arms about Celest? Because so many of its players think like you do. Nobody would care if this was a Celestian skill or not since flow is not that good. It used to be worldwide from forest -> any other environment, you know - it was OP then. It's fine now. Deal with it.
Also, the trueheal thing was people being facetious. We don't care about that either.

You kind of have to feel sorry for the skill after two major nerfs.

Rofl cause I'm making a joke of the forum whiners?
I personally enjoyed Laysus's "Neraka: If you have a problem with a skill, take it to your envoy. That is the best chance you have of changing how a skill works." That made me laugh out loud! The best way to totally get something changed is to go post on forums and have all your buddies give mad props to it. And Celestine envoys don't ever get anything done because everyone vetos like anything that goes up.
I think this post should be moved to the funnies. All we're missing now to make this the perfect post is Ild to say something freaking crazy.

Both sentences... wrong.
Though envoys do often pick up concerns from the forums and submit them-- it's just an alternate route of "going to the envoys" which has potential of backfiring spectacularly.
(Seriously, Shamarah and Forren don't really seem to be having many problems getting their ideas submitted)
Ashteru2007-01-11 02:24:31
Heck, I agreed with I thin all ideas Shammy had when I was envoy.

Forren, as I've said before.. Hailstorm=Boulderblast+Geo-demesne in your logic... But obviously, hailstorm isn't a 1v1 skill it's a group skill... now lets look at it this way.. 5 Hailstorm>>>>>5 Boulderblast+ 1 Geo-Demesne
Same thing with Staff of course...
Okay? They need to do much more similar levels of damage.. Aqua damage is quite imbalancing in group combat.. Not to mention that Geo-damage is on a tick, negated by lust/shield etc. etc.
Hard to argue that aqua damage equates to geo damage... Aqua hindering is almost as good as geo.. and I think that hunger needs to be tweaked a bit too maybe...
Oh, and leave flow as it is.. Having the enemy come to you is MUCH beetter for you than having yourself being summoned out of the group by summon/empress etc. then there is group damage that can't be argued to be even.
PLEASE Keep diversity. Don't remove/nerf flow, tis fine as is (I don't even have it and I'm arguing for it okayyy!!?)
Well if you think that Aqua staff is OP then go talk with Thoros.
Me and Forren (both titans, one imperian merian, second faeling) were staffing Thoros while he was just bashing our guards in Southgard durign Dairuchi revolt. He used greatpent+mono so we couldnt get, so he killed all guards, 5 i belive and we were staffcasting him from one room away all the time. At the end he just walked away. Yea Aqua staff is amazing good.
QUOTE(Sylphas @ Jan 10 2007, 08:33 AM) 371383
You shield, they flow, the zerg bounces off your shield. Then your group hailstorms them while they're off balance.
Seriously, stop bitching. I'm so glad I'm a bard now. Nature seriously blows, and I hate being stuck with useless skillsets.
So if shield do not stops flow. Teh nwhat stops it?
Becose you know, hailstorm IS stopped by shield.

Why are you so addicted to cats?
@topic: When raiding where you are expected to fight in your enemies' territories, always bring along someone who can change terrain, an icewall enchant, and mono. Someone who can cast illusionarry terrain is much better.
Flow is fine. Your overreacting.
So if i put illusory terrain in forest you wont be able to flow to me?? Or maybe i need to flood that forest room?

Forrens staff does aprox 1.5k to me and I have a racial resistance to cold, aqua staff is one of the most damaging things in the game no question about it really. Nothing really stops flow, its a 4 second travel skill, theres nothing really over powered about a travel skill like that though if you think about it like this if someone flows to you then they are at the disadvantage and you have a 4 second bonus to do something to them before they can act. So you get an extra attack in if they flow as opposed to walking. And you know flow dosn't hurt anyone where as hailstorm does massive damage to up to twenty people so it dam well should be stopped by shield. Well yes if you remove the forest with flooding you can prevent flow, but note that some places are naturally forest anyway so you can't remove the forest such as you can't remove the flooding from the water plane.
EDIT: Also remember for another note you cant flow wyrd to etheral and vise versa.

Key word here is UNSTOPABLE on home grounds.
What i would give for some 4 seconds unstopable transport skill for water plane.
Getting from prime to Tidal Lords is just one big pain!
First transverse to Elemental, if you are Aqua thats easy, Celetines haev it quite esy too, but bards and paladins need to look for someoen to take them there. Then you need to pass this f*ing* stupid river. Then you need to find whirlpool on lake, thanks gods that weaves do not work there. Then you need to find hidden exit to down while all those weaves tossign you around!! Thats just annoying like hell.
After that you can procedd to look for this raiders.
And if raiders is on starry sea then good luck finding it. If someone is moving constantly then good luck finding them, nd he could be swiming underwater and flying there too!
So i would love to have flow in that situations!
Make delay from flowing on monolith lengthed to 10 seconds and it will be much better.
Or give aquas some water only instant teleport. Pwease!

Or give druids the ability to do 1k damge to up to twenty people in the same room? And give wiccans the ability to lust people as well.
Some sort of water flow would be way more useful for the water/earth plane than faethorn. Faethorn has unique room names and is faster to walk to than flow, water on the other hand has lots of repetive rooms and two different areas. Flow on home grounds isn't that useful, walkings faster, its not easier but it is faster, and dosn't give a 4 second delay to attacks. Flow on the earth plane would be amazing but flow on the faethorn isn't that impressive, you have to think before you compare these things really.

As a note as well, raiders have to deal with the same stupid currents as the defenders so its not just a one way street there.
