IRE? Making a graphical MMO?
AHAHAHAHAAAAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAAHAHAHA... HAHAHAHAAA!!
Rant over.
Wow. I guess it's time I cut off that silly braid. You are officially no longer a padawan.

looks nice. Too bad I am 100% positive I can't play this from work
Although I have a big question... Whats the combat going to be like?
Is it going to be IRE like?

It seems really good to me, (although sometimes you've called them Atavians, sometimes Raptorians ) and I will probably try it. I'm on the mailing list, at least. Also, although you've said it will be aimed at a younger audinance than the other IREs, I think it would probably be much, much, much better if it was at the very least an IC environment, with RP being recommended (at the very least) I, for one, don't want to see an IRE game degrade into a LOLZ GIMME GP PLZ OR I WIL KIL U 4 XP LMAO! situation. Or, as Shou said, have separate servers for true RP and simple ICness.
Either way, I'm sure Sarapis, or whoever he's employed to lead EE, will do a great job.

Oh hey wait, I just read the thread properly, and loads of people have been saying there's only furries. It kind of says, just under there, that there will be more races than the ones listed. No reason to assume those will be furries too.

Thanks...
here is the full post. I think people will find it enlightening.
Gotta be honest: If you're into Warhammer, my guess is that you won't like EE. Who knows though! It'll be a fairly different experience I think.
Most likely, yes. We're not 100% sure on the details of the revenue model yet. It'll certainly involve free play plus optional payments, but the details how of that will work haven't been set yet. Prices will be cheaper though, because it's simply not as deep or involving of a game.
It will borrow very little. It's much more like Runescape or WoW than it is like any existing IRE game. The existing IRE games are just not very amenable to translation to a graphical format or a larger population unfortunately.
I'd love to tell you yes. I really would! But no, it will be simpler than Achaea's.

I will definitely be giving this a try, but as much as I want to like it just cause it's IRE, I don't know if it's gonna be able to drag me away from the Warhammer MMO that's released around the same time.

First what will the payment structure be? Will it be similar to achaea where people who pay can get extra benefits but "credits" can be gained ic as well?

Secondly will this new game borrow things from Achaea and other IRE games like the political structure, fixed guilds and cities that actually do things etc?

The back story is that it is the thrid age of the earth, all man died out it is now the age of the beast. Most of the beasts are of the fluffy variety. But there are some exceptions.
Ashteru2007-01-11 17:18:29
Damn, I forgot the Warhammer MMO. ((

I'm sitting here in my own mountain of excretement here, I'm so damn excited.
But there's a catch...
I'm not excited about the graphical MMO. At all. (This is because, well, Lusty in graphics is something you just can't do interactively. A movie, maybe, with StarWars 3 style overuse of movie magic. But not interactive.)
It's the fact I found the forums for the Midkemia MUD

Although, if you can make a graphical world where roleplay - Even half-assed roleplay - is the norm, I'll eat my unedible personal possession of your choice.
Screw roleplay.. I'm going to play it because it's pretty! I'm even going to overcome my long standing, IRE MUD spanning hatred of forests to be a furry animal.
