Just some people I look up to. (And emoticons to keep it interesting!)

Aerenna(Cuber)suicide.gif - for kicking ass in combat, even if they didn't think so.
Everiine scribe.gif - for making it seem fun to be dedicated to the guild.
Exeryte king.gif - For providing a quick honours quest reference

After meeting these three people in my first couple weeks playing, I tried to make Dinoniel grow to become a little bit of each of them.

And most recently Daganev (taedae.gif for godhood!) for being awesome, even if I do feel like I overpaid for my sword a bit).

So.... who are YOUR heroes? Lusternians only of course but IC/OOC reasons okay.

Zalandrus2007-01-11 02:40:55
Hm...people I look up to IC...

Yini, for giving me my first bit of motivation to learn combat

Saryn, Daxera, and all others who seem to be eternally happy, for reminding me the point of the game is to interact with people, even if I'm sometimes annoyed by them

Forren, for being an awesome combatant and somewhat approachable with questions

Vanthan, for being patient and willing enough to consistently RP a mute person

Vesar, for actually being able to get something done in Celest (sorry, this one is a bit more sarcastic/cynical, hehe)

Any who make all their gold IC and buy all their credits and everything by themselves without a cent of OOC money, for showing that it's possible. I just have to motivate myself enough.

For a game I keep telling myself I'm not addicted to, it sure has some memories...

Roark.
Laysus2007-01-11 02:46:41
Merloch and Ibby!
Diamondais2007-01-11 02:52:10
Shorlen, Anaria and Charune.

Shorlen for making me lost in the Hall of Ancestors and then saving me later and explaining about raids when I was just a little Dyla.

Anaria for teaching me a lot about how to be a leader, and showing me a good amount of problems I'll run into and making me think of my own way to fix them.

Charune for working in a way that earns my respect of Him IG but makes me cautious too.

All of my in-game heroes came from the early days of Achaea. Morlana, Mordyval, Servelan (Eris), Valor, Napoloen, Azhrarn, Halo - they are just a few of the many old players that I learnt and modelled parts of my characters on.
Reiha2007-01-11 03:17:50
Well, Lusty wise (although Lusty is the first and only Mud I shall ever play):

Athana & Ixion: I just hope Ildaudid and Reiha can be as OP as 'em someday wub.gif Legends of the game in my opinion. biggrin.gif

Jaskata: she always had Reiha's back and protected her, which Reiha looked up to her for, and eventually Reiha became a stronger, more confident person happy.gif

Aiakon & Gerald: for trying to help Reiha out and me OOC with the GM position, in a short span they taught me quite a few things, and that other players can be so helpful and wonderful roleplayers!

Zalana: a cool and collected sister, showing Reiha how to act properly. She also defends Reiha when Reiha gets into fights with Ildaudid giggle.gif But also scolds her, too wink.gif

Collvan: was a great mentor, one of the few people in the guild who really bothered with novices. Showed me you can be in leadership and still care wink.gif

Balizar: I knew him on an alt (or past main) no one bothered to talk to, and he'd go out of his way to stalk them, make sure they were okay smile.gif If it weren't for him, I might not have created Reiha or bothered Lusternia ever again. He was one of my first friends. smile.gif

Morgfyre: had my disagreements with him ICly and OOCly, but it's great having an active god who clearly cares and communicates. Plus he is a god, so Reiha can't help but worship him tongue.gif

And cheesy as it sounds, Ildaudid, for always willing to be Reiha's champion and knight in shining armour no matter what. wub.gif

Stop sucking up just so he will put out for once. biggrin.gif

Mmm.

Jack, for reasons from way back (years ago). You won't know what I'm talking about, and neither will he, but he is a good guy.

Ibaesha comes top of my list for sure. I miss her.

Skyla because she puts in a whole lot of effort into whatever she's working on and she was always fun and never mean (to me, anyway tongue.gif)

Merloch. The Moondancers would not be the same without his founding ways.
Unknown2007-01-11 03:33:48
Yeralih - for being the kind, yet strict mother sort of figure. Awesome Keeper.
Narses and Cairam - for being awesome people. Both of them caring and helpful.
Ashteru - for being a really cool guy.
Kundu - for all the hard work he's done and being a great undersec.
Acrune2007-01-11 03:39:53
Hmm, the ones I can think of are...

Vesar: for being a cool guy, and an awesome leader of Celest

Geb: giving me a good combat system, good source of combat info, pwning the tainted, and having a great (and unusual tongue.gif) personality. And his girly fairie wings make me laugh. laugh.gif

Forren: For reaching my goals, just faster and better because he's not as lazy as me. tongue.gif

Maybe I'll think of more later... chin.gif

Merloch - As Laneth pointed out, the Moondancers would not have grown to be the influencing guild of Serenwilde as it once was.

Ibaesha - Best friend I ever had, always very consistent and caring.

Elryn & Arale - Both are gone now, but the family was always fun!

Anaria - She is freaking brilliant. I am always in awe when she is around.

Kharaen - She gives me lots of designs to chose from. biggrin.gif

Edit:

Oh! I forgot someone!

Valarien - He is amazing IC and OOC. Totally fun to talk too and his family is pretty twisted.

Other Realms:

Tiphareth & Callisto - the Oranges of Spinesreach. The only family I have ever been a part of in another IRE game. They were so kind, so intelligent, and always a good pair to be around.

Harker, on Imperian, was one of the people who moved me towards some of the roleplay sophistication and immersion that I have grown to greatly enjoy. He also really helped me learn how to rationalize evil, which was something I hadn't really looked at before and ultimate had a great influence on the psychology of Veyda.

Xenthos will always impress Veyda (and me) with his ability to stay cool, and very much influenced Veyda's ideas of what a warden 'should' be.

Adracunin, for all his faults, had damn cool things with the spirits, and my time in the Society of Crow were amazing.

Valarien, though now someone Veyda thinks of as a (richer, more experienced) friend, also had a huge influence on the early character. Along with Ashteru and Shayle, helped to introduce me to the idea that some of the best roleplay comes from acting, not standing around and talking.

Shayle is, of course, an unacknowledged goddess, and for all the flack she gets and some of the problems she can cause, is an awesome character, an awesome player, and played a huge role in Veyda's manners, etiquette, and approach to situations.

Ashteru really helped bring me into a more advanced level of play on Lusternia, is always fun to hang around with, and has some of the invigorating roleplay I've encountered.

Finally, Bashara and Thul, while less 'hero'-like, were/are both good friends and companions who shaped Veyda's early life in the commune and his interactions with others.

IC? Ibby, Nejii, Sarrasri, Ialie, Anaria, Elryn.
OOC? Verithrax, Shiri, Ialie, Richter.
Other realms? Covenant, Kolieer, Jinxsta, Ariston, Venyon.
Malarious2007-01-11 04:32:44
Torak - Nihilist combatant.. honours him.. isnt the highest might fighter out there and he still kicked most everyones arse.

Felandi - Making me think about what influencers can do

Kayde + Marcalo - Teaching me about good family values

Kalas family - More Family values but they answer alot of questions

Some Envoys - Talkin with me on their opinions on suggestions and giving me new ideas.

Every combatant who has a strong sense of honour - They show -WHY- I fight.. I dont fight to kill I fight for enjoyment but if you cant do it with honour then its not the same.
Lysandus2007-01-11 04:34:25
Isluna - for keeping up with me despite our grumpiness towards each other.

Doman - For keeping me sane and alive and hilarious jokes he's giving.

Thernial - My bro-in-law in the game for keeping me on my knees whenever I'm down.

Forren - Saving my arse several times after being ganked by enemies.

Malicia - Putting me up and helping me around Celest.

Terentia - Need I say more? cool.gif

Saryn - For being the best Admin for the Cantors.

Zalandrus - Same as Saryn, only GM

Abethor - For helping me think up of Envoy changes for Cantors tongue.gif

Merkada - For being a good champ, sadly he left for OOC reasons, hope he comes back soon.

Shaeden - For able to test me and see if I'm worthy of being Champ.

That's all happy.gif
Kharaen2007-01-11 05:24:32
My heroes... Hard to think of people I'm in awe with. I'm hard to impress. But let's see here...

Lusternia:
Nejii: For being probably the most patient leader I've ever seen. No matter what crap's been thrown at him (even from the people he's serving), he's never lost his cool. He also called Kharaen young, and plays an awesome changeling RP (Human? What are you talking about. I've always been merian!) wub.gif
Everiine: For proving that you can be a great leader without being able to fight. For the longest time, I thought people would only respect those who could fight, and I suppose not many people DO respect Everiine, but I do!
Geb: Not so much anymore, but I used to really respect him before.
Elysiana: For being able to (almost!) keep up with how often the kegs go empty in Attai. That takes a superhuman power that not many have.
Gelo: For being possibly the most awesome person in all of Lusternia. There's no one nicer then Gelo, he even lets me use his fur and claws for a doormat.
Ixion/Daevos/Forren/Yini: These are the people I want to fight like. They really inspire me to try and learn at least.

Other realms:
Arslen: I may hate him, but he's still the epithamy of honour.
Taryn: He's probably one of the coolest people, in and out of the game. He's also able to teach me how to code, something no one else is capable of doing.
Tsoede: One of the best Building Admins I've ever met.

Shorlen would have been on this list if he was the way he was like when I first joined Hartstone. But not anymore, he's turned into a someone I can't admire at all :/
