Krellan if you still will be guarding plants.
One city mag will be pissed that cant buy any sparkles and will start to flood your spheres to destroy herbs growing there under your nature guard.
That way noone will be having access to sparkles, so chances will be equal again.

And this plan dont have anything to do with fact that said mag have magictome and would use it instead sparkles. kiss.gif

Ekard-- guard prevents it from dying to flood.

However, it doesn't protect it from Nature users who he annoys.

Yeah.

Yeah, Guard stops plants withering in taint/water, and stops them hibernating.

AB NATURE GUARD

Syntax: NATURE GUARD
Power: 1 (Any)
Cost: 1 mistletoe
Herbs and other plants are delicate creations, and you are able to protect them
from fire, taint or anything else that may harm them. This protection even
extends to preventing plants from going dormant during their natural yearly
cycle, though their rate of growth will still be negligible during down cycles.
You will also need a sprig of mistletoe to guard a location.

I think that Krellan, you are taking the "anything else that may harm them" too far.

Or "not far enough".

Guard isn't protecting them from him. sad.gif

I'll never stop guarding! City herbalists will never touch them again!

So you agree you have a big advantage over citiy herbalists right?

Now why does he need a mechnical advantage over other herbalists?

Fix please tongue.gif
Unknown2007-01-19 18:31:37
He has a mechanical advantage over the city herbalists which he is using, and which does not hurt the commune herbalists at all.

It makes perfect sense for him to use the advantage while it's available. If the advantage is the problem, suggest a fix for it so we can all move on. So long as it's possible, it's perfectly reasonable for him to want to limit who can harvest sparkleberries so neither of the cities can get their own.

A few fixes have been suggested the ones I like are

1. Nature guard dosn't stop anyone harvesting but protects against taint/flood death and such
2. Nature guard prevents everyone inculding nature users from harvesting while still protecting against fire/flood etc.
3. Nature guard is removed from nature and given to herbalists.

Stop arguing. Just stop. You obviously aren't reading the rest of the thread at all.

You will never know how much control it's taking right now not to lapse into personal attacks.
Unknown2007-01-19 20:08:01
Krellan, I replanted all of Leo from one room that was somehow missed by your guarding on Taurus. A few of those rooms were stripped before you apparently guarded all of Leo. (Thank you very much. Grr.) The stripping of the herbs from Taurus or any sphere certainly was not me, so you're not looking for one person. (I'm not looking for any person because I've been told who is screwing me over with the sparkleberry now.)

I'd like to jump on the bandwagon and agree that the "fixes" suggested and quoted by Ferlas above should be considered. I'm an herbalist who can see the plants and not touch any of them.

I would like to buy back my 500 sparkleberry, too, if you happen to have them handy.

I'm not sure why you picked that out to accuse me of arguing. I do still hold to what you quoted there, but my real point was to say that we can argue about this all day and never get anywhere. This isn't the idiots forum, if we went to discuss it, we should turn to productive suggestions rather than continual complaints.

For the record, I don't have any problems with any of the suggestions Ferlas posted. I actually like them all.
