Here's a few off the top of my head that I'd like to see added to DESIGN LISTCOMMS:

Firegem, wyvern, pelican, starfish, coeurl, stinkfish, apple, dragon skin.

Message them to the Charites.

I have. For the last few IC years.
And written Trademaster posts about them.
And written in comments on a design to add those comms because they were a part of the design.

So now I'm trying here.

Apple would be irritating. There are only two of them that spawn every spawn.

Actually, that's not true.

You can get.. 4 or 5 in the Grey Moors, and 2 in the valley.
Shorlen2007-01-20 02:14:36
OH! I forgot there were apples there.

Then I'm guessing posting on the forums won't do much more. >.>

Angels can't be used as commodities. That should change. I want to get my angelbone lyre so I can play sweet music on the twisted remains of the defenders of Celestia.

The Charites have posted on Trademasters before saying that new commodities will likely take an extraordinarily long time to make available. If you've messaged the Charities, the commodities are on the list. There's nothing else you can do.

I've seen the posts, I can vouch for it.

Long time or no, they need to hurry up. I've got a whole set of wyvernskin clothes that I'm putting in the moment wyverns become commodities.

I want to submit my firegem and wyvern mandolin design :/

I was never a crafter in any of the other IRE games, but in Aetolia - I found amazing that there were so many designs that let one use just so many odd things for commodities. I know there are tailoring that make use of manta rays, sharks, etc, along with jewelry that requires staghorn and stuff.

Is there a way to make it so that any item can techincally be used as a commodity, and then just have the Charities simply reject any design that isn't good?

And in the same vein:

I find it rather limiting that we can only use certain things for designs (For example: only steel, iron, wood or just onyx, beryl, ruby). I made a thread about this a long time ago, and I would think it would be great to slowly add in more commodity types. I mean, we have a volcano of sorts, or at least I think that is what the dracnari is, so why can't we have obsidian? I know that the dwarves have a couple rooms which are distinctly labeled with crystal, and the forests shoud be able to collect sap to make amber! All these things can just enrich more of Lusternia, making it as immersive as possible.

We are aware that there is a demand for new commodities and new designs among the Trademasters and you have not be ignored or forgotten, but adding such things are not as simple as you think. Would you prefer imbalances to be worked out in each of the classes, Bard issues fixed, Knights fixed, every other bug that's been submitted fixed, new areas to be released, events to be written to keep you entertained, etc or would you prefer all of the time spent coding new commodities and patterns into the trades to take precedence? We know that there have been many many many requests and you have not been forgotten - I PROMISE! - but it truly is a time consuming process that cannot be completed easily or in the blink of an eye.

I think people would support Sior taking the time to code a way to make new commodity input simple. superninja.gif

I'm just happy to get a response Viravain, it means that you guys are aware. Before there was nothing, I felt like I was talking to a wall. So some kind of response is nice. I'll stop harassing the Charites with that now.

And yeah, I'd rather see new areas come out then new commodities, but then I'd just add more commodities to add to the list! I'd rather NOT see more skill nerfage though. I traded Tracking for Moon after that last nerf.

Yeah that! Let's do that!

Would adding new gems also proove as laborious? I'm referring to the gems you get from cutting gem commodities (e.g. beryl, bloodstone, ruby etc). It would be nice to have some more types, mainly for vials. The logic behind this is that there are more elixirs, purgatives et al than there are possible vials... and some prefer to colour-code potions in the inventory.

Some suggestions would be topaz, agate, sard, carnelian.

That would require adding new items as opposed to just new gems/comms (vials). Plus it'd make onyx even more rare :/

Ultimately, any addition of a new commodity would imply creation of novel items. You, yourself, said that you have mandolin designs in mind. tongue.gif

Yup, but it's not a guaranteed addition of four new items tongue.gif

Sides, onyx is already rare. Add new gems and I may never see onyxs again sad.gif
