So, the Bears are going to play in the superbowl against the Indiana Colts.
Anyone else somewhat interested in football?
P.S. Go Bears

I can't believe the Patriots blew that game. 21-3 in the 2nd Quarter, and they let the Colts have 18 points in under 12 minutes? Inconceivable!
Verithrax2007-01-22 04:39:54
I know absolutely nothing of your poncy American sport (Seriously, who wears body armour to play rugby? Wussy!) but I'm going to stay with the bears here, because... well, 'colts' is a lame name. Sorry. It's like they go into the field prancing.
Well, prancing more than the average American 'football' player.

Football is over. Florida won. Come back next year.

Yeah, I stopped watching at the end of the second quarter, was quite surprised when I heard the final score later.
The good news however is that my boss is a big Bears fan, which means next week is going to be very fun.

There's no questions here. The real superbowl's already been played, and the Bears won 39-14.
DA BEARS!!
DA BEARS!!

I need to call my dad and find out what he thought of the game.
I didn't watch it. I'm not into football. I scandalized my dad once by saying baseball was more fun.
My dad is a football fanatic, and his team is the New Orleans Saints. When the Saints play, he even dresses up in Saints clothes and the neighbors know that all the yelling is just him watching the Saints. I told him that if they ever go to the Super Bowl, I'd buy him tickets. I'd no idea who was even in the Superbowl this year - or that it was time for it really, so I'm glad it wasn't the Saints!
Were the commercials good? That's the only part of the Superbowl I find interesting...

Personally I want the Bears to win.
But I have no idea who I think will win... Never really followed Football very well.
FIRE MILLAN
Hasn't been played yet.
It's the Chicago Bears and the Indianapolis Colts.
Noola, your avatar makes me want to throw up. It's awful.

Then why were people giving scores and saying it was over?

No no. We were giving scores for the 2 Championship games that decide who goes to the Superbowl. Xavius thinks pro football doesn't count, and was referring to college ball.

My interest in football this year lasted from the time the Ravens made the playoffs, to when they lost the playoffs. That interest consisted of, "So how'd that game go? Oh good." "What's the score? , maybe next year."

Verithrax's comments prove how out of touch he really is.

Time for me to get in trouble.
Personally, I find it difficult growing up in my area as everyone is a football fan. I dislike football. Most other sports I really don't give either way. If I'm playing it, fine. But I can't sit on the sidelines and watch, I'll get bored. I will say i dislike football to the point of not really even liking to play it.
Pssh, in my sport we wear armor. Leather, chainmail, and plate. Not this plastic crap. Of course, you have to go out and buy the stuff yourself or you go out in your garb only.

It's the half-time show. The two girls dancing around Prince remind me of Thing 1 and Thing 2 from the Cat in the Hat movie.
Verithrax2007-02-05 01:37:15
I watched a few things of this game you people call 'football' and seriously... This big black dude playing for the Bears throws like a girl, and the Colts run like someone broke their kneecaps before the game. I suppose it's the encumbrance from all the unnecessary body armour.
