Quick question about enchanted paintings, since I can't seem to find a topic on it anywhere nor does anyone have an answer for me.

I was wondering if enchanted paintings between manses still work?
A while ago I had an enchanted painting in my manse and in Deepnight. I was able to travel between the manses.
Recently when I tried to do that again, I had both attempts fail, with the painting enchantments fizzling.

Anyone try it recently, or know what happened?

I've been told that sometimes, for whatever reason, the enchantment between two paintings just won't take. I tried to set up one the other day, both paintings on the Prime plane, had the first location icewalled after the painting was enchanted so I could be sure nobody would touch it, and the enchantment STILL fizzled when the other painting was enchanted. You might just have hit some bad luck.

When Aethercraft first came out, paintings worked between ships.. or from ship to manse. Obviously this defeated the point, and so manse paintings suffered a tiresomely large nerf. Which was a pity.. but hey ho.

And yes. Sometimes you do everything right and a painting just fizzles anyway.

I can't remember anymore if that happened when I was an enchanter, but I never had much of a problem with paintings. I've been wondering for a while now if this is a bug or intentional.
