I'm getting tired of your computer snobbery, Verithrax.
I get spam mail
I use Internet Explorer
If that makes me a lesser person in your eyes... I can cope with that.

It has nothing to do with being an idiot. If you want to get the most out of most web pages, and support the most features, you use IE.
If you want security by obscurity, you use FireFox.
If you want a happy medium, you use Netscape.
If you're a computer geek like me, you have all three and switch around between them.

I'll distract his computer snobbery away from you Aiakon!
I use AOL at home. And I Like it!

I've seen several things that don't work in IE, but work in Firefox. Noobs.
And you forgot about Opera.

WWWWWWWWWWWWWWiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!
Unfortunately I already saw websites with people conspiring to make malicious wii code for opera browser websites. : (
Ofcourse, all over the website they say "This code is for usefull suff only, don't do anything bad with it!"

Actually, it does sounds like a VD, now that you mention it.
Verithrax2007-01-26 03:45:26
Oh, COME ON. What's it that runs on IE and doesn't run on Firefox? Frikken ActiveX. Unless you live in Korea, you barely ever need to touch the stuff. And yeah, if you drive around in a car with a broken tail light, I'm gonna call you an idiot. Sure you can't kill anyone with your computer, but the principle is the same, eh?
Unknown2007-01-26 03:57:48
It's a personal prefrence, Verithrax. My mom and her boyfriend use IE and basically bash Firefox because they prefer IE over Firefox (which I think is silly but hey). However, they also work in an environment which uses Microsoft, so you're calling them idiots? For using something they prefer and like and are use to? Really, you need to relax. Just because something that you like doesn't mesh with another doesn't mean you need to call them an idiot.

It would be personal preference if using IE didn't put your data in danger like it does. Personal preference is the difference between using Firefox and Opera, or Emacs and Vi, or Linux and Mac OS; using Microsoft software is just too dangerous to be considered equivalent.

On another side note, Sarvasti: Having seen far too many seizures, stuff like your avatar isn't cool (however unlikely that is to actually cause one). Link it or something, instead.
Unknown2007-01-26 04:16:36
Sorry. I'll put the other one I liked.
Anyway, Verithrax, even if Microsoft's stuff isn't the best of things it's still the person's choice to use it. Thus a personal preference. Whether you agree or not, doesn't change that fact. So there's no point in calling Aiakon, or anyone else an idiot for using something that they like.

Off topic, but that reminds me of something my dad always says: "I'd rather push a Ford than drive a Chevvy!"
Back on topic, please!
