I can certainly see Kalodan takeing his honeycake fetish to the poetry news board. So I will agree with everyone eles and say hell no
He doesn't do that anymore actually.

Look, if you want a poetry newsboard, get yourself a clan, make a post on the public boards inviting people to join, problem solved

Suggestions on the Ideas board generally get more support if you give a good, valid reason for your suggestion to be implemented.
Personally, I think this idea has far more bad points than good points, so I'm against it too.

Write a poem, buy a scroll (support your local bookbinder Damn it!), and submit it to your library. It helps to generate power and most organizations offer some form of compensation for your work.

Personally I am against having a public poetry board unless you can block it out. The one in Achaea basically turned into a mock-board with rhyme, and I think there's something cool you can do with things you write in Lusternia anyway, so why not do that? I am quite amazed at the player base, though; in Achaea, you get at least 4 new public posts a day, all slanderous and IQ lowering and not worth the time wasted to read them. It's not like that in Lusternia. You people use shouts, and those are usually rather amusing.

Meh, I don't mind them adding it if I can ignore it.
Edit: and if it helps clear out some of the clutter in the libraries, that can't be a bad thing... Poets can read each others work and others aren't bothered.

That is so wrong, Rylan, considering your character was almost married to a bard But I agree... no reason to have a posting when it can be added to the libraries. People that want to read it can seek it out, and specifically by author, and not have to scroll down the screen to find something they want to read or anything. It's a plus in-game, not so much out. I'm a poet, and I'm not even fond of the idea, hehe. I have a site people can go nitpick my poems at, don't need it where people are more active!

Let's not forget that Celestian chap, Tenebrae... and the inevitable Serenwilde poems:
I wub to snuggle all day long
The Serenwilde's where I belong
I wub to snuggle my Seren trees
But I don't like the Seren Fleas...
Hello Stars and Hello Moon!
I'm gonna buy faerie wings and snuggle you soon!
etc ad nauseam.
Edit: Do you think I'd make a good spiritsinger?

My poetry is nothing like that.

Meh There's a big difference between being interested in someone's writing IC and being subjected to everyone's writing OOC.
