loo-CAHN, emphasis on second syllable. To be honest, I didn't come up with the name. I came into Lusternia specifically to play Solarus' and Everiine's son (along with Maeka) and Solarus was the one who thought of the name. She has some big book o' dragon stuff and saw it in there. I dunno how she pronounces it, but it's loo-CAHN to me, and he's MY chara, so that's how it's pronounced, damnit.
And Linwe, as much as I hate to admit that I'm a Sailormoon fanboy...I love your signature. Marry me.

You are a scary, scary man... but if you want to talk Sailor Moon, feel free to PM me.

All these pages and we're still arguing over how to pronounce Soll. Like I said, let's just call him Jimmy. So much easier.
I'm not scary, I'm just...normal impaired.

I've always pronounced Soll correctly.
Additionally, names that have 'ae' in them are pure coolness.

No. You are giving Sol a 'long' o sound, like in 'no' or 'so' ... Sol is not 'so' with an l attached. Not pronounced like Soul, and definitely not bowl. Short o. Sol.
That's debateable. It is, in fact, pronounced like Soul on occasion, such as Solar. And with a short o, it rhymes with doll and ball, which he specificially said it wasn't anything like. So, if it isn't short o, then it must be long o, resulting in a soul sound
Edit: Semi-ninjaed by Xenthos.

Just a question: How do you pronounce 'Solar'?
Soh-ler. But because it's two syllables, that makes the sol it it not like Sol on its own... If it were, solar would almost rhyme with dollar.
Sylphas2007-01-26 23:52:50
Someone get us some server space for some 2 second sound clips of us saying our names.
Sylphas is just sylph with -as on the end. Schwa the a.

Ah, I wasn't sure I wanted to add this at first, but phoo. Yes, I have a number of alts.
Melaena - Mel-ay-nuh
Shaiya - Shy-ee-ya
Adaestell - Ay-duh-stehl (Originally Annaliese, but SOMEONE had to make me feel weird and say it would make people think of someone who wasn't well liked, so... I had just come back from a funeral after finally learning the names of my great-grandparents on my Mother's side... Ada and Estell. So, there. Oddness, eh?)

Cae-rule-o
Cae is like Cake minus the ke
And I've alwasy pronounced Soll like the this:
Al-co-hol
Put a S sound, like the S in snake, in front of hol. With just a very light 'h', just a hint of it.
