Viravain (Very Important Remarkably Awesome Vastly Astonishing Intensely-pleasing 'Nockout) >_>

Vira-Vain. That's easy.

Well, your "Vira" is left open to interpretation. I pronounce it "Veer-A"
Reiha2007-01-29 00:32:20
Reiha: Ray-HA. Or something like that.

Let's see how best we can mispronounce Soll's new name. A-rid-ion (as in ion like ionic salt or ionic breeze)

Depends on how you say 'Sol'. To me, Sol is exactly right.

According to my dictionary, there are three possible pronounciations for the 'o' in 'sol'.

Two of these pronounciations are nearly indistinguishable from each other in heartland American English, and are the same two variations given for the O in "doll".

The third option sounds like the OU in "soul".

You're just chasing us around in circles with this.

Arix2007-01-29 01:05:34
STOP SAYING 'SCHWA'!

This is good, as some of your names frankly confuse me all to hell.

Valarien.

Vahl-are-ee-ehn

I'm not a root, either, so spell my damned name right :/

Wait. What root? unsure.gif

Gahn-dahl. Srsly.

Wow... Always said it Shar-oon.

Why would you assume Ch is pronounced Sh? That's just..bizzare.

It is in lots of places...like Cherie/Cher (the name, not just the French word), Charlotte, Chantelle. In fact I can't think of any names that have a hard CH...oh wait, Chelsea. But still.

Charles. Chad. Chandler.

I can't think of males names where Ch makes the Sh sound, actually. Hence my confusion.

Edit: Chuck! Chris!
Shiri2007-01-29 07:42:16
Chris is different.

Anyway, fine...sh-sounding ch names still exist though! Although apparently all girls' names. But I think Sharune rather than Charune flows better.
Viravain2007-01-29 08:48:04
Just call him Charizard or Charmander like the rest of us. Char Char!
