Talnar2007-09-01 02:54:31
Joined. And I see not why you peeps don't like Facebook. I love it. It's WAAAAY more user friendly than Myspace.... Even though I'm amazing at coding HTML, but still...

I hate to pull the "indie cred" card but Facebook was way better before they sold out and started letting anyone make custom apps..
Every time I log on, I have like 56 DIFFERENT NOTIFICATIONS.. zombie invitation, ninja invitation, friend quiz invitation, likeness quiz invitation, werewolf invitation.. to name a few. These aren't even manual invitations, it's just that every app has a "spam your friends list to spread me around" feature that's incredibly annoying.
/endrant
I still visit it though, and joined the group.

Except at least you can't add 50,000 obnoxious sparkling flashing images and videos that play automatically with music and poorly designed stylesheets that blow your browser up to facebook.

The register page won't load... Awesome.

I'm with Veo. No one but my significant other and my closest friends know how much of a nerd I am.
I'm in this group too. My wife and a couple of others know, everyone else thinks I'm cool!

I joined the facebook thing.... just joined it as:
First Name: Kalas
Las Name: Ildaudid
and it worked fine.... I don't put my real name into a setup where there are alot of companies searching for your name, so that they can see if you are naughty or nice. >.>
Yeah I watched a 60 minutes thing or some show like 20/20 and heard how alot of major employers have part of the HR department search places like Myspace and Facebook, and try to research you. Thus leading to some college kids that have pictures of them totally drunk/drugged up for 40 pages of photos to not quite meet up with "employers expectations of their employees" thus causing them to not be further interviewed for a job, that they may be well qualified for.

I went to a baptist university where drinking was supposed to be against the rules. My senior year, 4 students were suspended because they had a bunch of drunk pictures at various parties up on their myspace. Some random annoying person sent a link to the Provost.
As protest, about half of the people at the school went out and photoshopped images of us in random bars/strip clubs/etc and put them up.

I typically just try to keep pictures of me blatantly drinking alcohol or doing things totally irresponsible off of my photos.
