Hit Shamarah up for some cash then. He is a sucker for cookies and donuts.

This is really silly, Forren left cuz of the essence loss. Kaervas has lost a few million in essence so far, I have lost a circle, these stupid tentacles keep you perma prone and nothing you can really do except watch them kill you. It's just not fun really. It is more frustrating. Then you have people graced, grabbing the staff and hiding behind grace, which is bad enough..... I dunno, just isn't what I expected at all... I expected lots of cheap tactics but not TONS of perma proning mobs.

And yes Shammy makes bank money, cuz he has a seal to back him up that helps kill those mobs.... smile.gif
Richter2007-01-27 20:54:41
Okay, so it wasn't just my lame system, other people were perma prone too?
Isluna2007-01-27 21:08:08
Eh, I can't even partake but to be a tess target on Celestia because other wise all the spammage lags my client to a freeze from the system/dialup combo. Really hate dial up. And thought one couldn't hold the staff graced.

Heh, I had hoped this event to be less combat oriented... Then again, that was to be expected... Even though IRE managed to reasonably avoid emphasis on 'who has the biggest biceps' in the Seal challenges, with the exception of War and Death of course, the final event still is a bogus 'who has most friends' competition... I had hoped for a more 'fair' scaling, e.g. all seal-bearers testing their mettle in events similar to the seal events, but for those that already won one only...

That would keep it rather fair and prevent all this HighPent whoring...

I had some high hopes for this event, to bad they were crushed by the mob spam as soon as I got to astral. Welp I won't be around for the end of it, good luck to anyone who has the stomach to sit through the spam. Maybe this is just a final seal? The spam spawn seal.

to think I even left work early to get home to help. Maybe I can go back.....

The point of the ascension was to make it so that the seal-bearer with the most support would win, the main ascension page even says "The best candidate will be the one who can garner the most support from other players", but I think they expected something a little past organizational polarization...

IC and OOC, I'm rooting for Hallen. Too bad the city I'm living in now doesn't allow me to support Hallen. I s'pose IRE really has little influence over this 'organizational polarization', and that it's more like, the cities and communes leadership are really messing this up...

To quote Forren, he promised me he'd personally remove me from city and guild were I to support a 'Tainted' -groan-
Diamondais2007-01-27 21:28:51
Yes, the Orgs do actually have some control over who their members can support. I've only done this to one person because my character would never allow someone she is so close to support a member of Glomdoring, especially when they would seek to join Serenwilde.

Why is anyone trusting Soll with ascension? I really don't understand it.

No offense, Soll, as a person, I think you're great, but I don't see how anyone can trust you with a position of responsibility. You're as bad as Ash when it comes to guildhopping. What happens when you get bored of this after a week or two? I mean.. Terentia herself even Knighted you, and then you left for the Bards, and now you're an Aquamancer.. that just.. isn't someone I want as the first Ascended God.

how come everyone Terentia knights quits the Paladins shortly after unsure.gif

Don't forget when Soll joined the Celestines even though he was on our list of NOT ALLOWED TO JOIN, and then I supported Shamarah who inguilded him anyway and said Soll should get another chance. Then he left for Glom. Embarassing :/
Revan2007-01-27 22:25:55
Celest is really... really dumb for letting Soll ascend... =/ I thought people knew better.
Anisu2007-01-27 22:40:17
Soll, the divine consulate hopping god! tongue.gif

Soll ascended then? Or is it still on?
Genos2007-01-27 22:41:00
He has the Staff of Ascension and only about 300 seconds left to go.
Razenth2007-01-27 22:44:28
From what I've seen of the city, Celest is trusting Soll with the staff because neither Forren nor Shamarah want the post, and civic pride and Terentia won't let us let anyone else get it. So that leave us with Soll.
Unknown2007-01-27 22:45:54
Meh.

As of right now, here's the score
