I started this event with about 20k gold. I ended it with 2.67 million gold (specifically, 2671570).
I started this event at level 75. I ended it at level 80.

Soll may have ascended, but I am the real winner of this event.

A shimmering curtain of multi-coloured light surrounds you for an instant as

explosion of light and sound, blistering with the intensity of a thousand stars,
and the aura around the being bespeaks nothing save for limitless power.

The Nine Seals re-appear around the twin beings, growing brighter and thrumming
with increasing strength and vitality. The Seals grow stronger and more hale
even as the crackling divine energies surrounding the luminous creature wane
paler.

The sky cracks and shatters, revealing gibbous eyes and masses of rotten flesh
and tentacles. Almighty Kethuru lunges towards the twin pair, but the Nine Seals
glow brightly and repel Kethuru, who howls in pain and fury. The Soulless God is
driven back, and the sky closes in around Him as a final, ear-shattering cry
resounds from His countless slathering mouths.

The sublime being of energy collapses and dissipates slowly into the air, until
nothing remains at all of his once-omnipotent presence. Avechna, the Avenger,
guides the Nine Seals down to their caves once more, returning to His stalwart
vigil over the peak.

The divine voice of Avechna, the Avenger reverberates powerfully, "Mortals, Soll
has made the ultimate sacrifice of his life to restore the Nine Seals, and save
all of creation from the threat of Almighty Kethuru, who even know beats
hopelessly and relentlessly against the bounds of His prison. Though some scant

Why does org-hopping automatically make one a bad candidate for god. If anything, it probably means Soll's player is very interested in trying new things. There have been a lot of other guild and communty-hoppers. I can't directly correlate that to being bad for the job.

No org/guild hopper has ever, ever, ever been good in a leadership position. Switching guilds once or twice isn't what we're talking about.. we're talking constantly Glomdoring suffered heavily to this in its early days. So look at their early track record to see what org/guild hoppers can do if they have responsibility.

I think it's because the fact he's hopped around so much, and he got all the loyalty of Celest on his side in a snap.

Quit bitching so much everyone. Soll's fine, the event was fun, if oddly run/created. The game is the Age of Ascension.

Just for the record. This event could have been dealt better, rather then make it a huge bloodbath with annoying tentacles as a side dish.

For me at least it was torture, and I think that many would agree. And more to the point, if you claim that those who are not the best in fighting can win, why make tentacles that kill you in three strokes? How does that strengthen that claim?

It was boring, overly long and quite a torture.

Ah well, I hope others enjoyed it more.

Yeah, I really know I wouldn't have had a chance. Oh well, hopefully there will be another someday. Either that or perhaps I can try for an Ephemeral position.

I think I had a lung explode from the laughing.

I think the biggest disappointment is that the event seemed to have almost nothing to do with people supporting who they thought would make a good RP God, and everything to do with the military force of each nation taking down all others.

It's a win for Celest moreso than Soll, and while he deserves congratulations for the honour and success, I hope the admin can learn from this and never let the same sort of thing happen again.

A big shame really, but well done to all competitors, including Soll. He's a good guy, maybe he can rise to the challenge.


To Celest's players: Screw you for not caring about the well-being of the game. I hope your city is the most affected by future bad RP events and decisions. It will be a satisfying change.
