Unfortunately for me, I was not blessed with being able to stay and witness Soll's ascension due to POWER FAILURE!!! I even drained my UPS of electricity heh. Good Work Soll, and Celest! It was so amazing to watch Celest work, and no one was whining about power or dying!! I'm so proud of everyone!

In the spirit of feedback, though, I really hated this event. I'm not sure what it was intended to demonstrate, beyond who could rally the largest numbers. Dealing with beasts that spawned continuously and entangled and threw you off-balance for good bits of time made it hard even to remain on Astral. Between that and the insanity, it just was hateful by the end. Oh, yes, and lag: many many spawns make for bad lag, make for stupid, frustrating deaths. I will not be playing again soon because I'm fed up with this game's mechanics atm. I did not find that an immersive RP experience in any way.

I don't suppose we could have some more... RP- or puzzle-style challenges next time? Things that would test the candidates rather than their entourage, especially since it's obvious no one's willing to cross national boundaries?

This is not entirely true, I would of suported Aesyra if she wanted to go for god. But really from all the other candidates only Soll would make sense icly

I agree some of the events could've been done differently, with one of the main issues being that those who were very capable of being Gods couldn't win the seals, and many that didn't really want to or were just unsure, won seals. Though I'm sure there will be some kind of 'suggestions' thread sooner or later, and I'll save my ideas till then.

Everyone knows Soll guild hops a lot, but from what I've seen, in what temporary position he holds, he does them well (though sometimes the timing was pretty bad *tsk Soll*) Now that he's taken on more responsibilities though, I doubt he'll be treating his character and position the same way as before. Though if he does he will indeed get a public flogging from the entire community I can really see Soll as a rogue-ish God. So yeah, let's see how he does, and at the very least we should be encouraging him in the right direction instead of acting so childish and shooting his hopes right down to the ground before they even begin.

I finally was able to get away from taking care of my grandfather, he's been having issues, to help a bit with Shorlen. But I died, fairly quickly. And then kept missing the ways to astral. Either way, I can't really say who should have won. I'm not qualified to really know until all of them are made divine RPers and I can judge. That being said, good job for everyone who did participate, and good luck Soll. Or whoever you will be when you ascend.

I was about 4 hours down the coast saying goodbye to a friend who is moving to the Uk, so I missed the whole thing. Oh well, friends before games. Congrats Soll and to everyone who had a go!

I spen most of the event playing on nexus at work, so those tentacles and things really messed me up! I finally got home maybe 15 minutes before the end.

Soll makes more sense then the other candidates? and you base this on.... what exactly?

I think Anisu, being a Celestian, meant that Soll, also a Celestian, would make the most sense for her to support, being in the same city and sharing the same ideals.

Shorlen is right. What we should be asking is, "Is Soll a good RP-kind of person", because that's all he gets to do from now on.

- Anisu is opposed to Taint (rules out daevos)
- Anisu is opposed to wyrd (privatly but still rules out kaervas)
- Anisu absolutely hates Shorlen because 1. she once loved Shorlen and is a bitter hag, and 2. Shorlen attacked her without provocation and Anisu is angry about that due to 1.

And good show everyone else, Shorlen who ever thought of the use of the coven so you could get as far as you did from the start, better favor them. That was a really good thinking. Really gave you a nice head start.

Only thing I didn't like was the spammage. Would have prayed the whole time if I stepped foot on astral cause of the client lock it would have given me. Other wise the whole thing had a lot of fun points.

Use of rage covens is a standard Seren tactic. Not sure how a coven was especially important in this case? I'd love to hear about it.

From my perspective, what was interesting was the use of 1) GreaterPent, which is -not- standard Seren tactics 2) Yini and myself keeping icewalls up, which is more or less typical for Serenwilde 3) Enough Serenguard showing up to effectively doubleblock both exits, also uncommon in Serenwilde (usually we wind up with people screaming to doubleblock a certain direction and not enough blockers) 4) Keeping the node unforested so Gloms couldn't flow in, though I think that eventually failed due to not everyone knowing what was going on.

We also had trouble with organizing enough to get the Staff into Shorlen's hands and get him back to the node with enough defenders. I suspect we probably could've utilized astroglide better for that.

I thought Gloms could only flow through Wyrded wood anyway... Then again, haven't played any non-warrior Gloms.

Astroglide? What is that, exactly? I'm transcendent planar, and I don't seem to have it.

Glom and Seren Nature users can both flow through either natural or wyrded forest (or garden or Fae forest). The requirement is just that you have to flow to the same type of forest.
