Why is there a recurring pattern with people who play Magnagoran characters asking for complete game mechanic changes at the VERY instance something happens they don't like instead of using some thinking out of the box and trying to work with what you've got?
In the instance that this thread was made because of, Magnagora had the upper hand on one occasion and could have easily finished off the Celestians had they used all the powers availbale to them. But instead-they want cosmic insanity

I know that Aiakon already responded to this, but reading this just made me laugh out loud. First of all, this post was clearly not made the VERY instance something happened for the first time. Perhaps a big raid happened, but this is something that has been going on for ages and there comes a time when you finally try to brainstorm a possible change to make it more interesting. And here I would say the same thing Aiakon said in his post.
In terms of cosmic raiding, or even on the Earth plane, I'm terribly bored of it. It's gotten to the point where it's not just once a day, it's constantly, it never stops and it's so extremely dull and useless. I wouldn't mind some sort of change like what Athana suggested. I don't see how Athana's suggestion would ruin combat or stop raiding at all. It's not as though the minute you entered the plane you were instantly insane and unable to do anything, this would just stop boring, prolonged raids that are terribly pointless.

I agree that protracted raids suck; however, I can't really see this change being made. It's a big change, and honestly, I'd be shocked as hell to see an announce with this change in it. Just don't see it happening.

It's more the implication that his essence is wholly ours to use. In gamely, that is absolutely not the case. His essence is part of him and we borrow it in emergencies.. we don't squander it or it's zap time.
Would He consider defence of Nil a waste? If there were enough of you to turn back the raid, sure, but if you're desperate enough then using His essence should be ok I imagine. Then again, I could be wrong, I don't know aything about him like I said.
