Uh, no. And I strongly dislike the idea of a swashbuckling archetype--it's not really an "archetype" in any sense that I imagine. (Keep in mind there are other archetypes planned.)
All that being said, there's nothing stopping a bard from carrying around a sword for dramatic effect!

Yay for more archetypes!

Not sure if it's bad to bring this up, but it basically sounds like people want zee Wardancer class (in concept, perhaps not execution) from that other IRE mud that I can't quite remember the name to ever.
In any case, I'm definitely among the type that'd be greatly interested in a class that seemed to focus on fluent, quick and rapid melee combat, perhaps lacking direct magical abilities of any sort, limited to rapiers or scimitars. Acrobatics would of course be an inexplicably good fit for such. Hmm, I could probably come up with tons of ideas for that sort of class myself.
Kind of funny I'm so intrigued by such classes being a Tae'dae I guess.

Wardancers are from Imperian.
And yes, poor tae'daes.

It would be neat to see, but people have to remember, giving up surge, immunity, numbness, constitution, flex, adrenaline, hunger, etc. Is a big nerf to a warrior, so I mean you have to consider how much you are taking away, to get 1 sec barrelrolls, dodging, leather armor and hyperactivity.
Now if you ditched hyperactive, added surge instead or something that may even it out more.
I really wish there was a more assassin like archtype, more stealth/evasive/recon and damage based warrior, all we have really right now are just plain ol wounding warriors. And the closest you get to an assassin like archetype is a tracking/warrior. (insert old big teethy smiley) (following shorlen's lead, I can't stand the popes)
edit: also remember you can boost up to like 4 dex with acrobatics so if dex really factors in affliction wounds, well that would be a benifit?

I thought it was decided that dex didn't help wounding that much?

It helps afflictions, you don't notice it much, but you also never see a warrior with 18-20 dex either

Dexterity : 18
Hmm.
(It really doesn't seem to do a whole lot more than 14ish)
