You have roughly as much health as me, actually, and I'm a fairly high level warrior. I don't surge because I already have crap for mana. tongue.gif

Don't forget that we're still dealing with more than a single redcap fae in the choke, either. Bleeding 500-1000 in addition to afflictions, mana drain, slow down, and whatever else hits us is quite difficult to deal with before it kills us.

Idea that was forwarded to me.

Picture.

Shadowdancer Bob drops his cauldron, releases shadows into the room. (1 second or so equilibrium)

Shadowdancer Bob lifts his hands high above a shadow cauldron, and the shadows of the room begin to thicken.

Two seconds later...

The shadows of the room fall in a heavy blanket, plunging the area into darkness..
---CHOKE---CHOKE---CHOKE-----

Basically adding a two second delay from the time choke is cast to when it actually takes effect, I think this would help quite a bit in combat.
Apart from that---Unfortunately for some reason I don't understand my succumb downgrade this month was rejected, so unfortunately some of you will have to deal with it for another half month at least while I try to figure out what to do.

That would make choke more powerful. As it is now dropping choke gives the enemy of the shadowdancer the first strike because the shadowdancer has used their equilibrum dropping the choke. This new method would give shadowdancers and their enemy an equal ability in choke, it sounds like a nice envoy change for shadowdancers though, it removes the disadvantages that shadowdancers get in choke.

Roughly an entire minute to get me to lethal levels, with no curing, regeneration, or sipping on my behalf. I imagine a minute is a fairly long time to go without curing. And I've not as much health as a surged warrior, or even a lot of unsurged warriors.

Don't you like get racial regeneration for being a titan?
Ixion2007-02-26 16:49:55
We do.

Diamante's first redcap log was with his titan regen, making the comments useless.

Second log was without, use this one for comparison/judgment.

Get them to hurry up and fix that skill ummm Shine?? That was upgraded but doesn't work yet... And I will try to convince Airees to come with me to Serenwilde, then we will see either:

I. Serenguard snugglers leaving for a less rigorous archtype

II. Airees and I being kicked out of Serenguard and Serenwilde for beating the piss out of warriors who will not defend their own lands.
Will make for some good RP.... >.<

..I vote yes for Ild in Serenwilde. Please. Please come. Bring some friends.. BRING PEOPLE WHO WILL HELP DEFEND.
Diamondais2007-02-27 02:33:47
And Ildaudid has mercury. Which is always worthwhile. >.>

Will flinging a lovers or lust at your opponent stop the fae from attacking you?

Lovers' seems to, don't know about Lust.

Fool + Warrior + Enigma actually seem to make Tarot users seem pretty nice in Choke.

No, since I can order my Fae to kill you regardless of if you're enemied or not. If I haven't ordered them to attack you yet and you use Lovers, maybe. Not exactly positive on that, but Lust has no impact on whether Fae attack or not.
Genevieve2007-02-27 11:29:53
Ok, so definitely not lust, but I should look into lovers?
Clise2007-02-27 14:45:17
Lovers only work if you toss it on them before they order the attack I think. Once they ordered, the fae will attack regardless of the love affliction. Though the wicca can't attack personally till love is cured.
Genevieve2007-02-27 15:00:48
So if you walk into choke, fling lovers before the entourage is ordered to attack.
Clise2007-02-27 15:02:26
You can order them to attack even without the target in the same room like angels Genevieve.
Shiri2007-02-27 15:03:00
Also, they would just eat reishi.

That takes them an extra second at least though, to eat the reishi while they're not doing anything else. In choke, wasting their time is the name of the game.

You can turn off titan regen?

You can go to Prime where it doesn't apply.

Yes I know that, but if they don't know who's coming into choke ahead of time. This is what I'm suggesting. In this case, if your angel hits with anorexia before they can fix lovers, they have to smoke the pipe, then eat the reisha and then order their entourage. Serious time lapse.

I guess it's one of those situations that is a 'what if?' possibility. I would expect the Shadowdancer to have everyone they need to enemy enemied by the time they put down Choke. Because enemying within Choke would also take up time.. As would ordering them to attack. I would expect Shadow Fae to always be aggressive if I was an enemy walking into Choke. That's not saying your tactic isn't viable, it's just not likely.

An addendum, I would only think Hanged Man and slightly Moon to be the best Tarot for Choke. Aeon doesn't stack with Choke, and the others don't really have an effect on the Shadowdancer.

I have magnagorans enemied and my angel doesn't attack on sight. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

If you're on Prime, you still have to declare. If elsewhere and it's not attacking, just order it hostile by ordering it to kill one of your enemies. I believe it will then begin to target any of your enemies.
