And Diamondais-- he said why!

We've had a few attacks on it since it's come out. I'm not just saying it because I'm paranoid, he will get to going back to there to kill them again eventually.

(And Furiens edit came after I posted..)

I am confused, what is the difference between a new moon, and Night? Doesn't a new moon mean there is no moon and only night?
Furien2007-03-11 23:23:16
For the most part, yes.

The other Grand Ladies of the Moon explain that, since Kailak is the lady of the New Moon, she is not shined upon as much as the other Ladies, which makes her twisted and more Night-like.
Daganev2007-03-11 23:24:16
What does your new construct give you anyways?
Hazar2007-03-11 23:31:23
They mention it a page or two back.
Shamarah2007-03-11 23:47:49
Actually I wanted to see if there was an antiquest. If she's hurting the ladies of the moon why would I kill her?

I tried asking them, but they were all too busy babbling about the sceptre thingy.

Construct idea:
Aetherial Communications Relays.
-Allows communication from the nexus world to prime.
-Allows communication from any aetherbubble to any other.
-Allows teleports (or maybe tesseracts since I could see aetherbubbles as being separate "planes" of their own) between aetherbubbles.

The third upgrade could have a HUGE effect on the way colossus battles work, since a small strike force could infiltrate the enemy aetherworld and then all of a sudden FWOOM a huge army descends. It'd also remove the need to have ferry boats bringing in attackers which may or may not be a good thing.

Reading it in another thread, I thought it was pretty cool. Lysandus/Zalandrus, I can't remember who, suggested the idea of Bards being able to sing something that would benefit constructs. This'd make Bards very important in construct fights.

-Personally, I was thinking that the songs, while maintained, would put a constant drain on willpower. A fairly notable one, too. Serious enough that the Bard eventually has to drop it, and will take a good while to recover it all. More tactics that way, and such.
-While a Bard is maintaining this song, no other action can be performed. (Iffy on this)
-There should be a regular message like 'The song of X drifts through the air, causing wtfever to whatevermonument/colossi' shown to make sure enemies know who they should target to remove that effect.
Some song ideas:

-One that increases the healing rate of a..fish keg? That out-of-fight healing deal that cooks make.
-Increases/decreases defense, attack, speed, whatever of a construct/colossi.
-A song that increases the effectiveness of a certain colossi improvement, assuming the Bard's within distance of said colossi.
-A song that can disrupt colossi...balance?

I'm just spouting ideas, here- I've never been in an actual colossi fight, so I wouldn't know how most of it goes.

What would stop a bard defender from going all the way through their willpower, and then heartstopping / walking into the enemy group to get willpower back?

Just some ideas for the new moon construct.

I was thinking that maybe the Altar could passively cover everyone in the Serenwilde with the Moon Aura, which lets everyone be resurgemed even without a corpse because they are covered with moonlight so the coven can find their soul, of course return the need for 5 coven members.

As a side for those with Moon. Allow them to still Teleport to Moon's Abode but as an added extra allow them to gain a different aura from the Avatar's of course you could only be blessed by one Avatar at a time and the cost would be 10 power.

Albion could bless with perhaps a Crone's Fury Aura which would act passively by draining ones personal enemies health/mana or perhaps randomly afflict them, or perhaps strip some defences or something.

Luna could bless with perhaps a Maiden's Reflective Aura as her item is a Mirror, the aura would act passively by reflecting the Moonuser with a reflection somewhat like a primatic barrier but can be brought down by an attack or make it work like timeslip, a 10% chance of the attacker missing because of them thinking it was the reflection. Instead of all that maybe the aura could have a small percentage of returning an attack on an attacker.

Selene could bless with perhaps a Mother's Healing Aura as she is a Mother, the aura would act passively by constantly healing the Moonuser of health/mana/ego/afflictions or she could bless with a number of resistances something like 5% physical, 5% cold. 5% cutting and 5% blunt or something along those lines.

Anyways, these are just some ideas. smile.gif

How about a construct that allows altering the arena grounds? Would be nice if we can alter the arena to that of Celestia/Nil so we know where to fight or where to defend. Then again, this might be hard to code.

Regarding the Moon Altar, I'm waffling on what (if any) additional benefit it might grant.

My leaning is towards allowing Resurgem without a body and/or allowing Moondancers with the Cone skill to use it on their own. I'm undecided either way, but please share your opinions.

What about Resurgem without a body aaaand causing all Moon-based skills to act at their peak? So Full acts as if it were full, Waning acts as if it were Waning, Shine acts if it were full, and so on,
Unknown2007-03-13 20:58:02
Make it give all the Ladies a brave soul.

... uhh... no. Permanent-Full shine is bad. So is waning. So is Rage.

Just... no.
Unknown2007-03-13 21:08:43
Actually, I wouldn't mind a permanent regular Shine effect that stacks with Shine for moon-users.
Ashteru2007-03-13 21:15:37
Isn't Shine like uber-damage protection as a normal, perma (until death) defense now?

You want to stack another layer on top of that?!
Sylphas2007-03-13 23:46:08
Depends on the phase of the moon.

Yeah, but it still adds protection, which alone is good enough, be it 5% or 25%. tongue.gif
