It's Trueheal that's the main problem of this all, no power Trueheal? Even if it's just once? They'll likely be able to just grab the Angel Aura again.
The rest of it is actually really nice (I'm actually jealous of it because.. well.. Moonchilde just doesn't effect me too much ).

Recall that the same was said that the game is biased towards Magnagora when the crypt was released!
If it turns out to be overly unbalancing, we'll of course revise it. BTW, we were wracking our brains out trying to figure something unique for Celest and had several multihour long meetings with Celest to figure out what would be something they can use and are willing to pay for.
Again, we'll be monitoring how it goes, though obviously it's not quite as ridiculous as they can trueheal for no power whenever they want.

Well it definately is one way to get all the orgs together and fight together to make sure Celest never ever keeps that construct up.

I think it's fair they get Lich... Magnagora had no way of resurrecting their fighters or anyone unless they were Necromancers...
And believe me... Everything they got seems fair.. in fact, I kinda predicted they would get the sacrament buffs... but Trueheal is just too much... A Paladin has to sacrifice its power in order to save for Trueheal and they become tanky but not as strong.. now they have the option to be tanky and strong or double tanky with some penalties...

In the constructs current state, that's so true.

For some reason, the cronwed smilie seems to fit there.

Wow, some people just...
... it makes me feel bad for the Admin who try something new just to be immediately attacked and insulted in such a revolting manner. Yes, the powers do look iffy, but they haven't been tested out yet. And this isn't the first time something like this has happened either. Jeez.

Actually, I find most of the responses in this thread were pretty even-tempered.

I will state for the record that the Serenwilde construct is vastly overpowered. Giving Seren a ranged version of sacraments sacrifice is ridiculous - the skill was overpowered enough in sacraments. That power should be removed from the construct.
When we asked for the constructs, we were asking for SMALL benefits, things we could fight over if we wanted, but not things that were so unbelievably overpowered that we needed to raise them, or needed to defend them, or else. What we recieved instead is yet another shitty minigame that we HAVE to participate in, and abilities that unbalance certain aspects of combat.

I don't see any evidence to think it's a case of bias. I think it's an honest mistake; they genuinely think this isn't imbalancing, and that it's on a par with Magnagora's (not quite) and Serenwilde's (not even close). And if it's a mistake then it will be fixed, as soon as its unbalancedness becomes clear, which can't take long. Let's look on the bright side! This, too, shall pass.

Hack down, hack down, trueheal, hack down, hack down, starchant trueheal, hack down, hack down,
Shorlen2007-03-25 02:54:37
As another note, StagSacrifice is apparently being removed from Stag and put into Healing. Think about how balanced Sacrifice For Allies will be when a Celestine can do it, and can get a soul rez for zero power. Not to mention that they will be able to sacrifice for another and then trueheal, fully healing two people for free in the middle of combat. Completely balanced, right?
Yes, I'm aware that Seren currently can soul rez after a sacrifice for allies as well, but that should also change. Soul rez shouldn't be nearly as easy as it is right now when body-destroying death is the cost of the most powerful skill in the game.

Trueheal has an equilibrium cost. I'm pretty sure it's standard action 4 seconds.

I personally did not want it. I liked how it let us resurgem those not in moon, but I much rather preferred a small stat boost based on moon phase that I suggested earlier. mostly focusing on intelligence to increase moon burst damage. Now I imagine there will be something for Glomdoring where they all have dark rebirth or something

Idea alert!!
Estarra, I think it'd be really neat if instead of just killing nexus world critters and using them for a minor power bonus we could kill them and heal a construct similarly. It could be a trivial heal (50, 100h?) but it would give us a chance to heal constructs over time without having to rely on cooks to labour on it.

You know, nothing says that some of the Glomdoring construct's powers, once the aura or what have you is gained at the construct, cannot be triggered by saying (or shouting) a phrase....
Now, if only there were some set phrases that everyone in the Commune could agree upon.
