I seriously would love to see an updated WHO list where it was easy to pick out the names of the people from their titles. I find it really difficult to scan the list and find a specific person, and nearly always have to resort to targetting them before checking WHO or using zMUD's search function. Yes, I'm aware I could also write a script for it. Still, this shouldn't be necessary, if you ask me. WHO should be legible.

Full agreement.

WHO PERSON=Free Scry in most cases...

Now I wouldn't argue if WHO PERSON only highlight the name, you still have to at least scan the list

You can (on some clients) make scripts to do that anyway, and it doesn't work on people with gems (most of whom are the ones people really need to scry).

Also, scry is pretty much "free" anyway. All it uses up is eq!

On top of that, "free scry" is not so overpowered (:/) that it isn't worth the convenience of such a feature.

Why did I know someone would bring up this argument? sad.gif

Regarding new areas on prime or off, I too am a little disappointed that we are slow. However, it's not like we don't want new areas or there aren't currently any in the works. The truth is that it is a lot harder than you may imagine to get an area out. Some of our areas take months to over a year to finish. Also, because we have a small staff and not everyone on staff is interested in building, we do what we can do.

That said, if you are a creative writer and have ideas for areas, feel free to post them on the plots board with some sample rooms! (Did you know mortal builders earn credits?)

Cheers. I've seriously been thinking of applying for mortal builder. And hey, if it helps get more bashing areas out there for me and everyone else, I'm all for it! But in any case, I'd like to see more bashing areas (quite obvious). an easier solution to reading powerlogs ( like a power summary instead.. much easier.. ).. Plus something in Guild logs that tells us when Aspects loyal to the guild are slain, Ladies, Daughters, etc. It doesn't have to tell who for the sake of anonymity if you get away with it, but just as a reference, it would be nice to have, and finally.. More types of Arena games! The ones currently are really bland and I'd personally like to see more activity with Lusty's arenas. Cheers!

To make raisedead in necromancy worth a damn...here is the ab file if you have no idea what it does.

Syntax: DARKCHANT RAISEDEAD
Power: special* (Megalith of Doom)
You can make a corpse rise up as one of the undead. Though you cannot control
the undead, it will automatically attack your enemies. You must be holding the
corpse in your inventory. The type of undead will be determined by the level of
the corpse, and low level corpses will simply turn to dust. (Note: this can only
be performed on player corpses.)

Power cost depends on the level of the corpse:
*Below level 30 (dust) = 0 power
*Level 30-39 (skeleton) = 2 power
*Level 40-49 (zombie) = 4 power
*Level 50-59 (ghoul) = 6 power
*Level 60-74 (ghast) = 8 power
*Over level 75 (wight) = 10 power

Name color reflexes make WHO a "free scry" already. If one were to count how many times I squint and use WHO per day.. it'd make your head spin. Hence, WHO PERSON really wouldn't be anything more than a convenience.

There's a spam topic. Apparently guests can post threads without having replied? Could that be fixed?

Guests can't post without having replied. They can't post at all. If you see it, that's an exploit by some savvy spammer. We'll just have to wait until IPS releases a fix....

I've accidentally posted as a guest a few times, when the evil forum demons decide to forget who I am. I haven't started any topics as a guest yet, though. I suppose that's something I can strive for.

Um. Guards climb up and down on their own if they're not on STANDGUARD PERMANENT. The issue is that whatever elevation they were on when the threat leaves (death or spores or teleport or walks out or whatever), they stay there. You can't order them back. So if you lead all the guards into the trees, you can walk around on the ground without worry.

Those ones climbed down, and walked right back to their posts.

Had you just died? If you die in the trees, your soul goes to ground elevation and they (sometimes) follow it back.
Laysus2007-02-21 22:44:44
Guards need their pathfinding system fixed a bit anyway, if they end up wandering too far, they can have a fair amount of trouble finding a way back from what I've seen.
Unknown2007-02-22 01:05:13
Nerf Guards!!

Hrmm, rather.. I dunno, I find it amusing, if they do 'fix' the pathfinding I pray they always have a clause for each city to have one or two, 'retard' guards at any given time that ignore orders randomly and perhaps wander off out of the city/commune and start trekking their way towards the enemy commune only to be horribly slaughtered. Just because I find that sort of stuff amusing.

Yes, I'm easily amused.

Oh, something I'd like to see:

Ninja archetype. 'Nuff said.

Fact of life: Everything that's cool, is cooler with ninjas.
