I actually think it should have a chance to block magical damage too to be fair to warriors

What about 100% of warrior damage and 50% of other damage sources? That way warriors would still have their wounds, and people who can't afflict with their damage still get a bit of it through?

So we've gone from talking about nerfing the RoA to upgrading it? Sweet.
I agree, wounds should stick regardless of RoA.

I've always thought it unfair that warrior damage was blocked (and a very few other attacks, yes, I know) and the (massive) magical damage from other archetypes is not blocked. I was actually thinking along the same lines as Caoilfhin with runes that have a chance to block other damage types. I'd buy a rune to save me from damage caused by magic attacks or even bleeding. How about a Greater Rune of Gauze or a Mystical Tourniquet?

Spider's web of bloodclotting, since they used to use spider's webs to help stop staunch flow and promote clotting. It could be like superkingdom, or perhaps just block wounding.

hell I'd be happy if it cut wounds in half for each attack done, I don't see how if your characters body suffers no damage, they all of a sudden sprout wounds from a attack that is blocked, but thats just me it seems.

You still get afflictions from a blocked attack. If the damage is cutting/blunt and something else, you'll take damage from the something else, even though the message says that it blocks all the damage. (In other words, this is not a place to use "realism" as a model for changes. )
