It was a scavenger hunt ending in finding Isune's tomb in wyrden forest which seemed to be a surprise to some characters.
The most entertaining part was Aiakon telling us to leave and claiming the area as territory of Magnagora before realising that we were not in the Catacombs. Also the conversations with the young aquamancer after the event had died down.
It was an interesting story left open at the end for more progression.

While I didn't participate in the event as much as I could've, due to it hitting its stride at a point where I was too tired to do much beyond farm for essence, I enjoyed what I saw of it. The anticipation created by the announcement of Ayridion's intentions prior, really lent a sense of urgency to the proceedings, and the descriptions were wonderful. Well done.

I did enjoy it, though I apparently missed the climax of the event as I was trying to find the last location for my sheet. Still, very well-done! Whether it's true or not, Amarysse will likely go on believing forever that a dream she had last month of Isune and Trillillial was somehow prophetic.
My only complaint were the (very) few people lingering at the tomb afterwards, ordering people to calm down who were having (I thought) a civil conversation, sneering at those who came exploring, etc. It was rather off-putting that they believed themselves to suddenly be experts on Isune and Her realm, or that they had the authority to make such decisions.

Being one of those lingering at the tomb, I'm sorry if I or any of the others there came off like that... 'twasn't my intent (sad smiley without the bludgeoning crown).
And I missed all the cool stuff except the end *sad*

Was going to start a thread asking how Ayridion was doing as new Divine, happy to see he's already doing nice plots Now, anybody explain it for me? I really don't have time to log in and check 40k news posts in all my boards!
Neerth2007-02-19 23:35:05
I add my Bravos! to the list. A very well-conceived and well-run event. I was proud of Neerth's involvement, even when (especially since?) I spent some personal resources making paintings that weren't what Isune's apparition wanted. Experiencing the "correct" room was worth it.
The only possible critique I could make is that it was a solve-my-mystery event. In other words, there were certain things that players needed to do, and when they did then certain things happened ... so as a player, I knew that my actions wouldn't change the outcome, they would just make someone else trigger it.
Still, events that have different possible outcomes are extremely hard to plan for, so even though I desire them (!) I still deem this a successful and enjoyable event. In particular some of the details were obviously planned well in advance (as the game objects' instant reactions showed) - can you believe they had five or so different descriptions for the partially restored falcon statue, even though each one only lasted a couple of minutes! Go Lusty volunteers.
Edit: and yeah, the fact that it rewarded people with Arts with involvement was also cool - the bashers still had their chances too. Next up: Bookbinders save the universe?!
Second edit: I think instead of "Cancel Edit" and "Complete Edit", the options on this QuickEdit thing should be "Cancel Idiot" and "Complete Idiot"....

Sadly I missed the fun with Morgfyre and the chalices--dunno details, just saw it in lack of rants. Morgie's response to my Shout was foreshadowing I guess. (I also knew not to give Magnagoran's details, so I was playing dumb).
Aodh2007-02-22 12:17:28
I enjoyed it because one didn't have to be the most known player of the game, or the most established player, in order to participate.

very true
Irrelevant note (as if...): I tried to find a smiley that had a sign that said True or Yep! or something. But all their signs are negative! Guess that's where the big bucks are. Anyway, fun irrelevant smileys.

Holy execration, batman! I read the post on the Seren news... wow. I wish I was here for it!
Genevieve2007-02-23 00:01:20
Celest didn't bother to make a news post about it. Considering I don't have alts, could someone post it here?

-Plus lots of quoted stuff, explaining the attack-
I still think that was uncalled for, you have no reason to suspect Jasper was posting that in response to you, in fact he quoted Nerra, so it was most likely in response to her. Don't overreact in such a violent manner.-Plus lots of quoted stuff, explaining the attack-
Genevieve2007-02-23 20:51:24
It was a joke, jesus christ. I should have added a smiley, sometimes it's easy to forget that tone doesn't carry over the net.
Unknown2007-02-24 00:36:55
Though I didn't get to experience much of it first hand - I painted one of the birds and followed Shorlen through collecting the miniatures, fighting phantasms, and through part of figuring out the figures. I had to leave to do something back in Seren, and returned long enough to see the beginning of the stuff with Morgfyre trying to drain Isune's essence and Ayridion fighting against him. But once they poofed from there and all the attacking began, I scooted and watched from a distance.
But, all in all... great fun. I enjoyed it quite a bit, what parts I wasn't frustrated with nearly dying, hehe.
On another note, Ayridion himself interests me a great deal. A far closer call in finding a Divine I can have Linwe follow than any of the Elders. But I think I still shall proceed with caution and see what comes of other Ascensions in the future.
