I think this will be interesting. I'll be incredibly impressed if someone pulls it off.
The Challenge: Kill 10 people on your own - no groups allowed - in a row, without dying, and with no more than three minutes between each kill. (And novices/extreme lowbies don't count, you filthy griefers.) Post a log of it somewhere (preferrably with timestamps, though you don't have to if you don't have them). The ten people don't have to be ten DIFFERENT people, getting multiple kills on people who come back still counts. Also, logs from before I posted this don't count.
The Reward: If anyone actually accomplishes this, I will give you 20 credits out of awe and respect. The challenge will remain open until someone completes it!
Good luck!

Note to self: Don't log on for a while and sit around at the Pool if I do.

We all know from Beta that You can do this. You had a fun killing spree by the looks of it.

Is this retroactive? If so, pay up.

Nope. Not retroactive. Get cracking!

Do Serens still fight? I don't know if I can do this anymore. The lazy sacks of exfoliated Kethuru skin flakes would probably let me raid.

We love you, too, Jerkface.

Sadly, that seems to be their problem. I haven't been around for a few days.. but they -always- seem to try to defend, even when they haven't got a hope.

We get ridiculed if we do defend, we get ridiculed if we don't. Sigh.

Over very many painful raids, I learned that if you can't beat them you should wait at your nexus gathering fighters until you've got a chance.
(1) With nothing more to kill and no defenders to murder, your average raider gets bored and buggers off.
(2) You gain nothing by fruitlessly going to defend if you can't win. Meanwhile, your raiders get exp, much enjoyment, and will take longer to slunk off.
Naturally, you may need to do some thinking before you can follow this OOC rationale without it appearing ludicrous ICly...

Uh... just so y'know, they often do this. There are a couple who don't wait and run off alone to die, while the rest sit at Mother. These few are the ones who could benefit from your wisdom. On the whole, I think most already understand this lesson.
Of course, there are times when it's taken to extremes, like when 3-4 are standing at the Mother watching a lone Ebonguard wander around killing EtherSeren beasties for their essence, but that's generally rare... and nothing too unusual for any of the orgs.
Usually Seren waits until they think they have a chance, then goes for it. Unfortunately, a chance doesn't mean "100% success rate".
I think they do pretty well, all things considered.

Fair enough. It's not as though I'm an eye witness... all I see is the routine plethora of deathsights, which implies a serious lack of care.
Marcalo2007-02-26 16:05:13
What about killing one person solo, and 10 others coming to jump you? Cause that happened like five times two days ago to me.
Anarias2007-02-26 16:08:58
Serens fight like they're in the movies, i.e. sending one person at a time.

Marcalo, either accept my duel or prepare to be jumped by a group of people. Yes, I know you had system issues, that's cool, I understand why you wouldn't want to duel. Nonetheless, you need to die for killing my citymates.
