vote: Daganev until he gives a reason for voting Mirk. A "Because i have a feeling" vote is somewhat scummy to me
Unknown2007-03-31 22:37:03
I'll give people a few days to get back into it seeing as how the forums have been down, but I will be prodding after that. Get involved!
Diamondais2007-03-31 22:58:14
Not sure I really get what Daganev is going on about. Either that or the past conversation before the Forums went down is just too fuzzy in my mind. I'll look it over.
Saran2007-03-31 23:27:33
I'll give Daganev a little while to come up with something before I vote but it had better be good
Asarnil2007-04-01 03:42:58
Vote: Mirk
Mirk was fishing for power roles, and the vote on Requiem earlier in spite of someone who would have been a logical target to vote for is pinging my scumdar.

I voted for mirk, and found him mirky for two reasons.
1. He is being a bit too direct in my opinion about his asking what roles people have. I find his mode of asking to be different than the usual curiosity.
2. He hasn't posted much, which is what I think requiem was trying to allude to.
I would just like to point out that in every single game, people think I am scum because I over analyze people's statements and behaviours, and try not to waste people's time with that analysis. Each post sways me for or against certain people, and while Shamarah/Saran seemed the scummiest to me before, currently mirk does.
Lastly, if I was suddenly converted by some cult in the middle of the night, I think the last thing I would do is make short cryptic statements "suddenly" changing my opinion. And I certainly wouldn't active in the conversation from the beginning of the day.

@Daganev: that seems a little silly to me. Of course, I represent the opposite extreme of the spectrum in that I also over-analyze everything said but I post a lengthy written analysis. On the other hand it should be noted that I tend to be more influential over the flow of the games. (even if my influence is more by telling people to kill me, which seems to be the case more often than not.)
I'm going to Vote: Daimondais with an option to vote Mirk later.

Curious to know why you're voting me.

Although technically I'm voting for someone named Daimondais and not actually you, I'm voting for your doppleganger because you're scum.

My poor doppleganger. However, I don't believe I am scum. Rather the opposite.

(Note:I added the 3 and separated the two sentences, no other changes were made)
2. I'll admit I wasn't too active in the first part. It was hell week for the musical, and scholastic bowl tournaments, so I was leaving for school at 7 am, and getting home about 10 pm. I've tried to be more active since.
1. Uh, yeah, I've been a bit more aggressive. I'd just like to know what changed your opinion of Requiem, aside from Verithrax actually being a cop.
3. Usually true, but knowing the way you usually are, I didn't start doubting your motives until recently.

I like analyzing and posting my comments so everybody knows. In case I am dead by over-analyzing and becoming a target at least the information I have is on the open and hopefully will help catching the mafia, cult and everything else.
If Mirk is scummy then anybody asking questions about what's going on should sound scummy, and to me that isn't the case. Then, I have no reason to say he's a townie either, as I have no idea one way or the other.

I'm still here. Daganev still smells bad. Also, the Mirk pun was -awful-.

There is a difference between asking what is going on and fishing for role information, and thats what mirk was doing.

Iridiel, why are you so convinced that there's a cult? I'm just curious because you consistently refer to a cult in addition to normal mafia (especially when most people refer to the entire collection as simply "scum") without any particular reason as to why you would suspect that a cult even exists.
Note that I'm not saying there necessarily isn't one, I'm just wondering if Iridiel knows something we don't and if she'd like to share with the class.
