Some people may have a strong motivation to revive those cities as well as a background directly related to it *whistle* Though I agree about how some things are handled, I've raised some concerns in the past about it though there wasn't much response.

People assume that those who are in either clan are intending to flock to the new cities when they return. I'd say a third of the clan membership is there just to build good relations between the cities. Everyone wants Lusternians to fit the "mold" and pick a side, but by co-operating in our efforts, the Mirh Barosi and the Eliz Tirita have been much more efficient in completing our statue quests. Don't base your "disappointments" on your ignorant assumptions.
As for the city tax I have Daevos to thank for bolstering our ranks. That probably was one of the biggest reasons we are so strong today.

Shards of Xyl is fairly active. It's a Lucidian clan. Not to be mixed up with the Eliz Tirita or the Mirh Barosi.
The only thing I don't like is that I have to obligatorily support Etil'ck. <==== imagine old sad smilie here
Exarius2007-03-16 00:44:21
The Shanthine Pride is the oldest racial clan in Lusternia (and it IS a racial clan despite of any rumors people like to spread to the contrary). It's also fairly active, though it has it has more of a familial atmosphere than anything, and doesn't attempt to be all things to all aslaran.

And more to the point.. it's a large statement of disloyalty to your own city if you're committed to raising a new one. I seriously frown at Magnagorans who are members.
I remember when Mag had that 10k tax for members and I ended up getting kicked out for not paying it and enemied. Then I spied on a major Seren military offensive against Mag and Daevos unenemied me and asked me to come back, but then I went inactive on that char. It was fun times, though.

They are indeed dissapointing.
At one point I contemplated making a Gaudiguch-seeking rogue character almost purely for the sake of radicalizing Mirh Barosi.
Then I realized Veyda's more fun. But if he ever gets exiled/immensely humiliated/cast out by a god, you'll know where to find me!

I like Veyda, and I like Veyda in Glomdoring. Let's try to keep him in Glom, so I can be happy, even though I never see him anymore!
EDIT: Aaaaaaaaand, Shards of Xyl is a Lucidian racial clan that doesn't have any other motivations besides Lucidian culture. Sorry, I got all off topic with my old Lusty nostalgia.

We need a Tae'dae clan.

I decided to make a Tae'daen clan.
Taking donations. <.< >.>

There's already a Tae'dae clan. I can't remember who's in it. Ask Raguel perhaps. But I'm fairly sure some members were from Celest and Mag.

Also, out of fallen's list, the only clan I know of that was actually set up to be a racial clan was the Loboshigaru one. All of the others had another motive to them.
Edit:Ya the lobo clan is still around.
20 points if you can find a single person not inactive in it though!

I'm in that clan (as is Dinoniel I think), and both of us are active if not placed in a rank.

Heh. And that will work until you cameo/reincarnate into something else.
I think you should create a clan for the vacillating.

But you don't represent the new cities.
They have their own ambassadors, their own views, and their own intentions - and all of these will be completely separate of your own abortive diplomatic processes.
Can you imagine if Magnagora was thrown outside time? In the blink of a Magnagoran's eye, a thousand years pass, during which time a set of players negotiate an everlasting peace on Magnagora's behalf with Celest. Can you imagine any Magnagoran abiding by it? Urr.. no.
Outside the realm of roleplayed delusion, there is no way that anyone in either clan can seriously think that any of their attempts to 'build good relations between the cities' are going to have any sort of useful effect. The only useful thing they can do is attempt to investigate the culture of both cities and to try to bring them back. ICly, that's exactly what Aiakon expects them to be doing, regardless of their propaganda. And bringing those cities back does not stand in the best interests of Magnagora.
It's not a player-base tendency to make Lusternians fit to a 'mold' a pick a side, it's just good common sense.

Pfh. I'll make a cool, new one. With Democracy and all!

Raguel has a Forging cartel which only tae'dae can join, its not tae'dae clan.
