Just came back from the movie. It was pretty fun to watch! Not as gory as I thought it'd be. It'd be nice if they had more of those 'exotic monster' battles tongue.gif Will there be a '10,000'? ohmy.gif

Anyways, 300 isn't wildly inaccurate. Sure, Xerxes wasn't at the actual battle, and that the crazy sword-arm executioner didn't exist either, but a lot of the fighting was based on how spartans were believed to fight (including the first fight's phalanx: that made me giddy after watching it). Also, the opening scene was like completely true. Remember though, movies about ancient civilizations don't have to be 100% accurate, because 1) most people don't care, and 2) a lot of the history was blown out of preportion anyways: Around 200,000 persians in Thermopolae (bleh, stupid Greek spelling) opposed to the supposed 1 million.

Although, they did pull the roman "turtle" formation for the end.


Umm, I need to watch the movie again, I kept thinking they were calling him Claudius.

Meh.

I wrote a huge rant on Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code, about how it claims the be based on true stuff and everything, but then just got fed up with it and deleted it all.

The sequel will be called "Ronin" tongue.gif

Although I did read that Sin City 2 is starting filming in June.

I just saw it on the IMAX last night and I was practically in the dead center of the theater. dribble.gif It was worth every penny.

Saw it with my dad, and watching the sex scenes was probably one of the more awkward, uncomfortable moments of my life.
