So...
You could kill something, then put its essence in twice? (Both from offering and sanctifying the amount you gained from that critter).
An Astral trip for 100 beasts would get about 200 creatures worth of sanctifying essence that way. Hmm.

The other part of this, if I'm recalling correctly, is that the karma comes from when you imbue the item now, not when you offer it. So you are not selling karma at all, just essence. Still great for the purposes of offering/sancitfying/defiling, just not the instant karma it once was.

Actually, the karma get split up now. You get karma when you imbue, and when you offer.

You could do it three times if you influence the thing first. >_> (Assuming creatures in general, not just astral creatures)
