When I was talking about blame, I was talking strictly within the Ur'Guard. Not held accountable for the new OOC rule. I think that, within their guild, the two leaders that 'just went along' should be held accountable for their actions. But simply within the guild. They are elected leaders.. if they aren't held accountable for their actions.. then wtf? Whether the OOC thing was passed or not, it doesn't matter, the leaders in question should have had to face the music anyway.
I'd much rather a culture that takes its leaders to task for their mistakes over one that turns a blind eye. And I could jump on the American vs British bandwagon that seems to be prevelent around here, but I'll hold my tongue.

I hate accountability culture. Excrement happens. But everyone always feels a need to identify the anus of origin.
Unfortunately, accountability is a requirement in order to deal with problems created by sentient beings. Yes, excrement happens, but you take that tone when it happens by no fault of anyone. When it happens by the actions of a sentient being, you do hold that being accountable. A lack of accountability leads to far more problems than a blameless environment does.
When it is all said and done, this is a game. There are enough mechanics in the game to allow for political intrigue, without allowing for players to create mechanics that allows for the stifling of competition. So I support a change that eliminates that possibility. It may limit the enjoyment of those who may desire such intrigue, but I also think it opens up the doors to those who may not receive any chance to compete because of the competition stifling requirements.

At no point did I advocate a society without accountability. But as with all things, it is necessary to strike a balance. Going too far in one direction is as damaging (unless you are a lawyer) to society, as cleaving to the other.

Sorry, but your post gave me no indication of your middle ground view. You made a remark that gave me an indication of you supporting one end of the spectrum, so I responded to the remark as it was stated, not as you perhaps intended it to be.

Well, that's not good enough is it Geb. In future, try harder.

Let Me translate:
Aiakon: Excrement Yay!
Geb: Ha. But not!
Aiakon: Insert Shamarah Owl Here. Excrement.
Voila.

I'm starting to think that Aiakon is a coprophile
EDIT: While Wikisurfing I came into Cleveland Steamer wiki and found this in the page.
Despite its reputation as a sexual term, it is perhaps more commonly known as the worst team in the Greater Cleveland Metropolitan Minor League Baseball division. The team had a disappointing season last year, partially due to a lack of fan support. The team manager, Mr. Sanchez, looks to rebuild the team in the coming season.
