According to Xavius who claims Roark said (which I concur with), only global caps exist. i.e. 180 damage, 280 speed.
So, what Xavius is really claiming is that you could get a 180/xx/280 speed weapon, which is false. If he's claiming something else, learn to explain yourself better.
Yes Nico, 180/xx/180 swords are possible to get.

...which is why being able to redistribute forged item stats on a whim is a bad thing. Again, thread or post?
Ashteru2007-03-25 01:56:03
It is a one-handed weapon.
Damage: 113 Precision: 131 Speed: 235
A colossal punisher flail has no poisons or magical effects on it.
That's a flail I forged yesterday.

Make more sense please, your original post was incoherent and wrong.
How does making a erred assumption have anything to do with this thread? You cannot have a weapon that hits both max damage and max speed nor could you come close with the 10 point redistribution.

It's quite coherent and right if you're more literate than argumentative, I assure you. Context is a lovely lady. You should get to know her.
Ixion2007-03-25 02:00:42
So by being grossly wrong, you somehow have crafted context and the world to conform to you. Damn you must be good.

Ok. I'm going to step you through this, just because it's not enough for most forum browsers to look at you like you're dense, but after that little spat, it's important that you feel dense too.
Ashteru's suggestion: +10 to one stat at a cost of -10 to another stat and -10 decay time.
Xavius' objection: Stat redistribution creates stat proportions that were never meant to exist.
Xavius' illustration: It would be possible to create a sword with max damage, max speed, and poor precision.
Ixion's interjection: Wrong.
Xavius' beatdown: Max damage (180) + Max speed (280) = 460
Insofar as swords exist with stat totals above 460, and Ashteru's suggestion is to allow stats to be freely transferred, Xavius is correct.

You are a fool.
Learn about forging before posting.
ALL WEAPONS HAVE STAT MINIMUMS AS WELL.

10 months per redistrubted point, actually. <.<

How come my post gets moderated and this one doesn't?
Naturally, I'm outraged and appalled.

I like the idea personally. 10 stat points is not a great change.
However, I would suggest that certain stats convert at different rates.
Say 1, 1.1 and 1.3
You move 10 off your speed, and add the 10 to damage, and you get +13 damage, or +11 precision. Just as an example.
Also, you would lose 100 months off the weapon in that case, not 130.
